At the meeting, Rui Wenbiao reported the preparations of the Council of Shanghai International Intellectual Property Academy. Members of the council reviewed and approved the "Articles of Association of Shanghai International Intellectual Property Academy", "Composition Plan for the Council of the Shanghai International Intellectual Property Academy" and "Proposal on the Candidates of the Deputy Dean (Host) of Shanghai International Intellectual Property Academy". Shanghai International Intellectual Property College reported the college's work concept in the next five years. The members of the Council of the meeting fully affirmed the effectiveness and work concept of the Shanghai International Intellectual Property Academy, and said that they would continue to support the construction and development of the college as always.

In November 2016, with the support of the State Intellectual Property Office and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Shanghai Municipal Government established the Shanghai International Intellectual Property College relying on Tongji University. Since its establishment, the college has gathered international outstanding teachers, innovative talent training models, and accelerated the creation of Chinese characteristics and world -class intellectual property colleges. It has achieved remarkable results in talent training, discipline construction, and academic research. A total of more than 200 students have been cultivated, and the students are from 42 countries. Among the graduates, 4 (2 international students) have successfully joined the WIPO Geneva headquarters. In July last year, the second phase of training agreement with WIPO renewed was renewed. In July of this year, he was approved by the nation's first doctoral degree in intellectual property first -class cross -disciplinary degree.
