1.2 Undergraduate talent training

1.2.1 Three stages of talent training in the Department of Physics

The cultivation of the basic class emphasizes two aspects:

1) Consolidate mathematics and physical foundations. The course settings include 16 mathematics and physical main courses. Its credits account for nearly half of the total credits requirements of the course, and mathematics and physics have been placed in the same important position. It is possible for students to further develop in the direction of physics or mathematics, and they have certain advantages and characteristics; for those who think of other disciplines for further studies, a good mathematical foundation will also benefit them.

2) Carry out scientific research training. In the 5th, 6th, and 7th semester, a compulsory course "Special Research Course" (referred to as Seminar). Students choose the research direction according to their own aspirations, and choose the corresponding mentors inside and outside the school. Students study independently under the guidance of the instructor, independent research, and master the learning method of Mr. Yang Zhenning called "infiltration". 2 Graduate training
