In fact, the "land content" of different schools is also different. Taking Jilin Agricultural University as an example, the official introduction covers an area of 1347 hectares, of which 1034.34 hectares are used for teaching and scientific research bases [1].

Often the area of agricultural and forestry schools is not small, but the test field occupies half of the rivers and mountains. The actual land for daily activities is not as considerable as imagined.

Of course, the large area is not perfect.

Whether it is daily life or studying life, it is indispensable to complain about the commute time for too long.

This is not a Versailles. It is a beautiful thing to visit the campus. However, if you encounter the teaching building of the other end of the school at the next class, the heart of Fenghua Xueyue has long been replaced by anxiety. Not to mention that there are early eight classes, the dormitory is here, the classroom is there, sleeping? Totally impossible.

If the bicycle pedal is not fast enough, it is likely to be late or absence; if you do not have a bicycle or you will not ride a bicycle, the waiting for you is likely that the number of WeChat steps on the day is over 10,000.

The school is too big and affects falling in love. In such a large campus, if you want to have a vigorous relationship with Crush, you must first ask which dormitory area of TA to live in, otherwise it will become a long -distance relationship.

The smallest TOP 20 is mostly art college

Some people talk about the school too big, and they have made couples a long -distance relationship; others have disgusted the school too small. After breaking up, they can meet their former six times on campus.

If you only look at the total area of the school, the most pocket is art college. Among the 20 universities in the country, there are nearly half of the proportion of art, dance, opera and other art colleges. There are 5 famous music colleges on the list alone.

We counted the 20 universities with the smallest area of the nationwide campus. The Shanxi Energy College Xutan Campus was the largest nationwide, covering only 515.7 square meters, and less than one thousandths of the Zhuhai campus of Sun Yat -sen University.

There are no students to stay in the Shanxi School of Energy College Xutan Campus and the Jing'an University of Shanghai Second Institute of Technology. They do not need to bear the pressure.

After all, the area is less than 1 hectare, which means that even a football field cannot be stuffed. Not to mention more than a dozen cafeterias, it is already "little lucky" to choose more than one floor to choose from.

Sometimes even the parking lot has to be stubborn. Such a notice is widely circulated among the students of China University of Political Science and Law:

Dear guests, because the parking space of our school is full, please stop to China Petroleum University.

However, concentration is essence, and small benefits are small. The happiness brought by the campus at a glance is what the "generous" college students can experience the space.

It is also early eight. Students from Tsinghua University may get up early to take the campus bus to teach the building [4], but the school's young students can get up at 7.50. For four years in college, from enrollment to graduation, you may not even send bike sharing several times.

What's more, although the sparrows are small and the five internal organs are all, many colleges and universities follow the "small and fine" route.

Although some universities occupy a small area, they do not hinder its professional strength. Taking the Beijing Dance Academy, the School of Foreign Affairs, and the Beijing Union Medical College as an example, don't look at them small, they are the cradle of dancers, diplomats and medicalists.

The university is getting more and more crowded, not an illusion

Where is the most crowded college student? The first probability of being nominated was Beijing students.

Of the 20 universities with the smallest area, 30% are from Beijing. However, data from the Ministry of Education shows that the per capita school building of students in Beijing has reached 45.6 square meters, ranking median, and cannot be said to be the most intense, but it is also not the worst.

Many colleges and universities in Beijing are located in the old town of inches, and the main campuses are compact in scale, while the environment of new campuses such as Changping and Tongzhou, which is far from the headquarters, is much easier.

The construction of the average school building of Xinjiang in the local area is as high as 56.3 square meters, ranking first, and it is already close to the area of an ordinary one -bedroom. This allows the Jilin students with only 31.1 square meters of school building to wear a painful mask directly.

In our statistics, 10 of the 200 universities with the smallest total area across the country are from Jilin Province. Jilin University is very large, but other universities in Jilin Province are endless.

In fact, in general, more and more people on campus are crowded.

In the past 20 years, the total construction area of the property rights of Chinese universities has increased from 207.49 km² to 929.26 km².

In fact, China's university town has been expanding crazy. For example, Langfang Oriental University Town, Hebei, to borrow foreign debt [5], Zhengzhou Longzi Lake University Town was criticized for "waste of land" [6].

In some schools, the idea of expanding the crowded is difficult to achieve. For example, the Beijing Film Academy, the second ring of the soil, destroyed the fantasy of expanding on the basis of this campus. The area of the new campus or branch has expanded, but it is far from urban resources, which is not conducive to talent training [7]. It was not until last year that the Huairou campus ushered in the first batch of teachers and students [8].

Furthermore, even if the total area of the school building has more than 3 times, it still cannot keep up with the speed of the student's enrollment.

The number of undergraduates and graduate students in the school soared from the original 1.84 million to 10.7 million [9] [10]. The nearly five times increased the construction area of the per capita school building, which was 12.89 square meters less than 20 years ago.

The experience of graduate students may be even more obvious. In 2001, the "Several Opinions on the Standard of College Student Apartments" issued by the Ministry of Education showed that the apartments of master students and doctoral students were 2 people and 1 person. [11], respectively. Twenty years have passed, and there are not many universities that can actually reach the above standards.

There are even the scenes of the five or six thousand masterpieces from Southwest Jiaotong University pouring into Yingxinwang's "robbing dormitory" and the choice of accommodation difference between Central South University [12] [13].

In any case, the school area is not absolutely good or bad. If the hardware and software facilities should be available, the experience will not be worse, and it may even be better.

At the moment, which college student does not want to have a "giant" university? Even if you ca n’t leave school, you can at least visit campus, pressure playgrounds, and explore the cafeteria. The school is always good, otherwise once the management is closed, there is no place to take a walk.
