Washington women's middle -aged dream is enrolled at the age of 50 by medical colleges

According to the British "Mirror" reported on August 18, a 51 -year -old woman from Washington Jen Reinmuth Birch chose to continue attending the medical school after retirement. The second year she was studying. Jen inspires others to do what they want to do, and believe that chasing dreams will never be too late.

Jen has a 20 -year -old twin son. After divorce in 2008, she became a single mother. In order to raise her child, she worked two jobs every day. Once, she witnessed the doctor's diagnosis and treatment for children with special needs, which was inspired by her. Jen said: "I suddenly discovered my love for medicine when I was in my 40s, but I never thought that I could realize my dream."

In 2012, Jen met today's husband Norm Birch through friends. At that time, NORM heard that her dream was a doctor that she could help her realize her dream. Jen said, "I tell him that this is impossible, because I have children. But no matter what I find any excuse, Norm can give a solution."

Under the encouragement of Norm, Jen returned to the campus in September 2012. After two years of study and two -year hospital internship, Jen obtained the qualification to apply for a medical school. "When I found that I was accepted by a dream school, I was very excited. This is a difficult process, but I am very happy." Jen said.

Today, Jen gets up at 4 o'clock in the morning to study, at 8 o'clock, and at 5 pm, and uses the evening time to accompany the family. She said: "I think it was strange to start to school at the age of 50, because other students were very young, but the students thought that I was one of them like them."
