2022CUDC Xi'an Foreign Language University selection competition is successfully concluded

The 2022 National College Student English (CUDC) Campus Selection Finals hosted by the Academic Affairs Office of Xi'an Foreign Studies University and co -organized by the English Academy of China and the English Debate Association successfully held in the cloud.

This final invited Mr. Lu Bin, deputy dean of the Innovation Institute, and Pei Hua, deputy dean of the English Academy as a guest of the competition. Teacher Li, Teacher Wang Hongxiang of the School of English Education, and Wang Bojia of the Academy of English as a judge. The competition is divided into two stages: points and knockout. 40 teams consisting of 80 players from 80 players from the English Academy, Senior Translation College, and School of Journalism and Communication have fiercely competed.

Through layers of selection, 4 teams consisting of eight players from the English Academy and Senior Translation Academy obtained the final qualifications to compete on the same stage. In the finals, the players were confident and generous, flexible, and talked about, fully mobilizing their knowledge reserves, bringing a feast for teachers and students.

Subsequently, Teacher Wang Bojia from the English Academy commented on the game. She highly affirmed the wonderful performance of the contestants, emphasized the importance of logic and reasoning in debate, and encouraged all debaters to make persistent efforts and continue to improve.

In the end, after a detailed discussion of the jury, Ma Changlu and Zhu Zijing won the championship. Zou Demin and Wu Tong won the runner -up. Liu Xiaoyao, Miao Miao and Leng Jiahui, and Hu Xinzhen won the third place. Ten students such as Zou Demin, Zhu Zijing, Liu Xiaoyao, and Miao Miao won the title of "Best Defense".

The English Debate Contest has long been an academic brand competition for Xi'an University of Foreign Languages. I also thank the CUDC contest for providing a stage for the majority of the debaters to show themselves and move towards a wider world. It is hoped that more and more students can learn more, accumulate more, actively participate, challenge themselves, and become international talents who are good at speculative, dare to express, and courage to challenge.
