Pitts were puzzled by the school's approach. Later, her daughter also reported to her that picking cotton made her feel "depressed" and "unprepared anxiety." On the 10th of this month, Pitts sued the school's school and Los Angeles Union Campus Education Committee (Lausd) to the Los Angeles High Court.
