Happy summer ~ Children's growth summer camp in Yanjiadi community in Xishan District

On the morning of July 25, the children's growth summer camp in Yanjiadi Community, Xishan District, Kunming City officially opened. The summer camp was hosted by the Yanjiadi Community Neighborhood Committee. The Kunming Volunteer Service Development Promotion Association was hosted by the Kunming City Volunteer Service Development Promotion Association.

The summer camp time is from July 25th to July 29th. It aims to enrich the summer vacation of children in the Yanjiadi community and help children spend a happy, safe and meaningful holiday.

At 9 am, 28 children from the Yanjiadi community arrived, and under the leadership of social workers, they participated in interactive games such as "big wind" and "sticky candy beans". After active at the atmosphere of the scene through the game, the children made themselves in turn, and were divided into three groups: "Linzi Team", "Plant Group", "Bald Niu Niu are not afraid of difficulties". The group contract and bonus rules were also formulated.

After the endless group building activities, the teachers of the Chun and Jingming Volunteer Service Team brought a unique class to the children- "I Love myself". The teacher guides the children to draw "myself in my eyes" and bravely share their advantages and disadvantages, have encountered prejudice or discrimination experience. Through the course, children recognize that everyone is unique. Although there are differences in the appearance, personality hobbies, and age, everyone should accept their own characteristics, love themselves, live confidently, and pursue their ideals.

Volunteers from Overseas Chinese University of English Translation also brought children a special fun English class to children. In the classroom, the children scrambled to share their favorite foods in English, and under the leadership of the teacher, they learned a lot of English words such as fruits and vegetables often in life. In the next few days, the children also attended the history of traditional Chinese costumes, listened to the "My body, I am the master" sex education lecture, and participated in creative handmade production.

Some parents said that the summer camp made the child's summer life colorful, allowed the child to broaden his horizons, improve his ability to do, and learn to correctly understand and accept himself, and establish a sense of self -protection.
