Professor Li Yucheng won the Jin S. Chung Award

Chung Award for International offshore and Polar Engineers (ISOPE) to recognize its outstanding and innovative contributions to its ocean and polar science and engineering fields.

Chung Award was established in 2006 by the International Expressive Academic and Engineering Achievement of the Winners in the field of ocean and polar science and engineering in the field of coastal and polar sciences. Professor Li Yucheng was born in Shanghai in 1932. He graduated from Dalian Institute of Technology (now Dalian University of Science and Technology) in 1953 and stayed in school. He has long been engaged in marine engineering research for a long time. 60 years of spring and autumn, he has been involved in the field of research and fruitful results, and has made outstanding contributions to teaching and talent training in the field of ocean and coastal engineering in my country. Since the 1950s, Professor Li Yucheng interacted with waves and water flow. The wavepower, new wavy embankment structure, and marine breeding cages and other marine fluid dynamics issues were systematically studied in direct walls. The new analysis calculation method was proposed in the response of Bobo Langli and Polarine Poto Power. It was widely used in the project and adopted by industry specifications.
