The conventional fast blow (CPS) missile project that was highly hoped by the U.S. Navy failed to test again.

According to Bloomberg reported on June 30, the US Department of Defense announced that the flight test of a hypersonic missile prototype in Hawaii ended in failure, and the missile had problems after ignition. Bloomberg said that the failure of this failure of this setback has constituted another crackdown.

Bloomberg said that the Pentagon did not introduce the details of the test on Wednesday, but just stated in a statement, "The Ministry of National Defense is still confident that it will achieve the hypersonic attack and defense capabilities as planned in the early 1920s."

Gorman, a spokesman for the Pentagon, said in a statement that abnormalities occurred after the test equipment was ignited. At present, project officials have begun review to determine the specific reasons for failure and provide help information for future testing.

According to reports, in the first flight test in October 2021, the booster of the CPS missile prototypes failed, resulting in the missile unable to leave the launcher.

According to the plan, the CPS missile will be installed on the Jumwalt -class destroyer and the Virginia -class nuclear submarine. The US Army is also developing the land -based version of this weapon. Lockheed Martin and Nosropple Gruman are the largest contractors in the project.

Bloomberg said that for the hypersonic weapon system, the Pentagon is feeling pressure because competitors are promoting the deployment of their own hypersonic weapon systems.
