Safe sailing more than 14,000 nautical miles away from Shiyuan No. 5 and returned to Mother Port today

At 10:30 am on September 19th, the third -generation aerospace ocean measurement ships independently designed and developed by my country to return to the home port of the Chinese Satellite Maritime Surveying and Control Department safely after successfully completing the two maritime measurement and control missions.

This sailing, Yuanwang No. 5, lasted 69 days, sailed for more than 14,000 nautical miles. During this period contribute.

Since the first savvy this year, all the crew members of Yuanwang 5 have adhered to their posts and overcome many difficulties. Especially in the process of sailing, in the face of bad weather and the adverse effects of complex sea conditions, all scientific and technological personnel calmly cope with it, and timely adjust the change of routes to ensure the smooth and completeness of maritime measurement and control tasks.

As an indispensable part of my country's Maritime Surveying and Control Network, since this year, Yuanwang No. 5 ships have accumulated for more than 110 days. According to the plan, on the way back, the crew has begun to prepare for follow -up tasks. During the period of stopping the mother port, Yuanwang No. 5 will carry out material supply and carry out equipment maintenance and maintenance work in order to settle the task at any time.
