The old man in front of him, named Xu Delong, must be pale at the age of 92, but he has clear thinking and smooth expression. Five years ago, he witnessed the entire process of shooting down the fifth US U-2 reconnaissance aircraft in the former Nanjing Military Command Command Command.

When it comes to the U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance machine (U-2), many people may be familiar with. This "Black Widow" spy plane was developed by the United States. Since its birth in 1954, it has been closely connected with world politics and military competition. Its flying height can reach about 25,000 meters, and there is a very advanced shooting system. At that time, any type of fighter and high -fired guns in the world couldn't. So it is like an air ghost in the ghost, and the world is unable to live. Its team logo claims that "we only believe in God, and the rest are monitored by us."

After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the United States provided reconnaissance aircraft, equipment, funds for the Kuomintang Air Force, and trained pilots. The Kuomintang Air Force cooperated with the US Central Intelligence Agency to penetrate in mainland China to lead the air and steal information. Driving U-2 performs high-altitude reconnaissance is the Taiwan Air Force 35 squadron, also known as the "Black Cat Squadron". Since 1962, its reconnaissance activities have become increasingly rampant. Whether it is the research and development of nuclear bombs, or the deployment and development of industrial, military, transportation, etc. in the provinces of the mainland, it is the goal of its thorns.

A high altitude contest began. Under the instructions of "go all out and the enemy of invasion", "must be beaten down U-2" became the most urgent wish of our Air Force. After careful deployment preparation, our Air Force officers and soldiers did not humiliate the mission and shot down five U-2, becoming the country in the world that shot down the most in U-2.

Xu Deweng was born in 1930. He graduated from Shanghai Business School (now Shanghai University of Finance and Economics). He joined the ranks of the People's Liberation Army Air Force from the school. During the War of Resistance to the United States and aid, he was a member of the reconnaissance department of the China -DPRK Air Force Joint Bomber Command Institute and participated in the combat operation of the bombing of the Dama Island. After the War of Resistance to the United States and the DPRK, he participated in the combat operation of liberating Yijiangshan Island. During the Turkish Air Defense Battle, he worked at the former Nanjing Military Air Force Command Command. In 1964, he participated in the P2V reconnaissance aircraft of the Black Bat Squadron of the Jiaodong Peninsula. In 1967, he witnessed the entire process of shot down the Black Cat Squadron's fifth U-2.

Talking about the time and place of the five U-2 being shot down, Xu Delong said clearly in one breath-September 9, 1962, in Nanchang, Jiangxi, pilot Chen Huaisheng's life; on November 1, 1963, in Shangrao, Jiangxi In the region, pilot Ye Changzheng was captured; on July 7, 1964, in Zhangzhou, Fujian, pilot Li Nanping died; on January 10, 1965, in Sarazi, Inner Mongolia, the pilot Zhang Liyi was captured; on September 8, 1967, in Zhejiang, in Zhejiang In the Jiaxing area, pilot Huang Rongbei died.

At that time, in order to destroy the U-2 "air thief", on the one hand, our army used a limited Soviet "Sam" ground-to-air missile air defense system to intercept. Red flag series missile. On September 8, 1967, the domestic Hongqi No. 2 ground-to-air missile shot down the U-2 for the first time. This battle was called Jiaxing's "September 8" air defense operation.

These participating experiences have not mentioned his family and friends for many years. "Until 2015, I accompanied my father to visit his comrades -in -arms and went back to the" battlefield "to know some of his experiences. I used to think that my father was an intellectual wearing military uniforms. In recent years, he accompanied his father to the troops, enter the school, go to the military museum to donate, and go to many places to preach the red history, so he learned about the fighting experience of his father's generation of soldiers.

On September 8 this year, it was the 55th anniversary of the victory of the "September 8th" air defense operation of Jiaxing. A few days ago, Xu Delong recalled the process of the combat to reporters in Shanghai. The following is his description:

Stuny before the war, accurately predict

In the 1950s, after the first comprehensive defeat in the North Korean battlefield, the United States vigorously developed high-precision military workers to roll other countries with science and technology. U-2 was one of them. This model of aircraft can reach about 25,000 meters, and it is also equipped with a high -resolution photography combination system. It can also take extremely clear photos at 10,000 meters high, for intelligence analysis.

As long as there is a U-2 hovering on the mainland, it is equivalent to our sunroof. How can this do? Although Americans call it "U-2 that can't be hit", in 1962, our Air Force shot down the first U-2, and in the next few years, it shot down U-2, which greatly encouraged everyone's morale.

After the end of the Anti -US aid, I have worked at the former Nanjing Military Command Command Command for more than ten years. Our command post is a two -story building with two main command rooms. The main room is the place where the battle is, about 100 square meters. On the south wall, there are sequences of troops fighting on duty, and the airport live table is hung on the north wall. There is a large round table on the north and south side of the main room. A large map is covered on the table on the south table. The map is covered with organic glass. Direction to fight at the east side of the table. There are also maps on the north table, where the aircraft leader guides our plane to fight. The deputy room is the place where the radar duty staff is called a radar total score station. After the target in the defense zone discovers the target, the information will be analyzed and judged here. Essence In September 1967, the command post received a report that U-2 will have a flight task. On the 7th, I was on duty at the command post, and the U-2 will be dispatched. At 9:30 in the morning, it was found that a large airport in Taoyuan Airport in Taiwan took off. In the Taiwan airspace, it continued to climb to 60,000 feet height, that is, 18,300 meters, entering the sailing route, like a cunning catfish, and turned to the north. It is U-2.

Soon, it changed the route and returned to Taiwan Taoyuan Airport. After discovering this change, the command post immediately summarized the situation of all aspects and learned that the machine had a flight failure. We analyzed many situations such as the laws of the enemy's previous activities and meteorological forecasting, and made a prediction-U-2 will still enter the mainland reconnaissance recently and notify the relevant combat forces to continue to keep the battle preparation.

Set up in advance, hit in advance

The next day, on September 8th, the weather was extremely hot, and I came to the command post early. The head of the command post on the day was Cai Yong, the deputy commander, the total duty class was the assistant to the chief of staff of Lu Shaoji, Zhu Qinming, the meteorological duty class was Li Haoliang, and the comrades of various departments on duty.

Comrade night shifts reported to me, "There are signs of the U-2 today." Unsurprisingly, at 9:30 in the morning, U-2 takes off from Taoyuan Airport again, climbing to a predetermined height of 18,300 meters, and sail from the port of Keelung. At this time, our radar has found that it is flying north along the East China Sea, climbing and rising while flying. At about 10.30, it arrived over 340 kilometers east of Shanghai, about 70,000 feet high, equivalent to about 21,300 meters, and suddenly changed its flight and flew towards Shanghai.

At this time, the commander Nie Fengzhi came to the command room. He walked straight to the command table. The deputy commander of the duty head of the duty immediately reported to Commander Nie to prepare the situation of the enemy aircraft and the preparation of my fighter and the ground -to -air missile forces. Zhu Qinming and I also reported their hostility to the commanders, and the staff of various departments also briefly reported the situation.

At this time, the 14th Battalion of our land missile has entered the first -class battle preparation according to the plan. The enemy aircraft on the high altitude of 10 meters rushed to the mainland along the northeast side of Chongming Island. Commander Nie ordered me to take off in a fighter aircraft and prepare to intercept at the front line of Jingjiang and Danyang. However, because our fighter aircraft is up to about 19 kilometers, the interception has not worked. After the U-2 was lucky, he turned from the northern part of Shanghai to the west, surrounded by flying around Shanghai, and slyly changed the route, and went south to perform reconnaissance for important goals such as Zhejiang Fujian and other regions.

Later, it flew out of the mainland. Soon after flying out of the sea, he turned his direction and killed a carbine in the direction of Jiaxing. The enemy's air is gradually arrogant. It thinks that we can be fooled, and we can be fooled, and we really think it will go back. In fact, the atmosphere in the command post has always been very nervous. Everyone stared at the routes drawn by the benchmark. When the enemy aircraft returned from the sea from the sea, it was just after drilling into the 14th Battalion defense area of the air -to -air missile forces in the Jiaxing area. It was hit by our Red Flag No. 2 air missile in one fell swoop.

The command room radar label chart showed that the aircraft was declining, and Commander Nie immediately ordered the aviation forces to take off the two pairs of double-machine fighters. A pair of two-machine air alarm in Zhejiang, and a pair of dual-machine monitoring U-2 trends in Jiaxing airspace. This is the combat experience of the Volunteer Air Force of my country during the Anti -U.S. and the aid of the DPRK -at that time, in the air combat, a enemy aircraft that was injured by our side was injured to escape from the sea. After the pilots parachsed at sea, they would call the U.S. Air Force Base to dispatch helicopters from the sea to rescue and escape.

The U-2 aircraft is an aircraft with a wing exhibition larger than the fuselage. It has good gliding performance and can skate two or three hundred kilometers without power. If U-2 is injured Easy to escape from the sea, it must be destroyed by the fighter immediately in the air. At this time, the pilot reported in the air reported that U-2 had been shot down and fell about five kilometers southwest of Haining and failed to escape.

At this point, everyone's tight nerves were relaxed, and they were happy. The serious expression of the commander Nie Fengzhi also stretched out. After explaining a few words to the head of the duty and the total duty class, he left the command post with satisfaction. Commander Cai immediately arranged the related matters of the shot, and at the same time instructed me to rush to Haining U-2 wreckage scene with helicopter.

Go to the scene, remember deep memory

On that day, in addition to Deputy Commander Cai and me, there were also photographers and guards. We rushed to the airport by car and boarded the helicopter flying to Jiaxing.

After arriving at the Jiaxing airspace, the helicopter began to circulate in the air to find the specific location of the wreckage. At noon, the scorching sun was empty. Through the porthole observation, we found that many people on the fields were walking in one direction and observing in the direction of the crowd. Sure enough, the wreckage of the aircraft was found on a river embankment slope. The helicopter chose to land nearby. After we got off the plane, we immediately ran to the wreckage. At this time, the scene was protected by the local militia. I boarded the wreckage in the front of the U-2 body, and saw the pilots in the cockpit wearing a high-altitude flying suit. I tilted my head and leaned against the seat. It had died, and the insurance belt on my body had not been unlocked. I invited a few militia to help, unlock the insurance belt, lift the pilot's body out of the cockpit, lay flat on the ground, and start searching, collecting, identifying, and recording the items and the items in the cockpit on the pilots. No items that can show the identity of the pilot.

After the disintegration of the plane, the area of wreckage was relatively wide. During this period, local villagers continued to bring parts. We found air cameras, interference equipment, reconnaissance equipment, eavesdropping equipment, engine, body and other devices in the wreckage of on -site survey. Among them, a special baffle at the engine spray port was first discovered. After research, it was learned that this was designed for our air -to -air missiles. The missiles were infrared. The spray mouth is to reduce the tracking of our missiles.

The on -site survey continued for two days. Our three meals a day were arranged in the villagers' houses, and the villagers took the best food to entertain their children. In the evening, we all slept on the river embankment with a mat. The enthusiastic villagers also brought wormwood strips and ignited all night to drive mosquitoes. This kind of military and civilian fish and water left a deep memory.

This time the U-2 is the first time that our Air Force has used the domestic Red Flag No. 2 to act as an example of air missiles on air missiles. It has important practical and historical significance. After finishing work at the end, I stayed at Jiaxing Airport for a few days, organized the collected materials and items, and then rushed to the Shanghai Air Force to make a report on the relevant leaders of the Air Force. Relevant departments conducted war communication and analysis.

On September 28, 1967, I participated in Shanghai in Shanghai to shoot down the U.S. U-2 high-altitude reconnaissance aircraft "Wish Jieqing Gong Conference". The next day, I returned to Nanjing, and once again summarized the entire combat process, wrote it as a report, and introduced the comrades of the department to jointly study and analyze the war. At this point, all the work that shot down the fifth U-2 ended, and I returned to the daily combat reserve work.

In October, I learned that the U-2 pilot that Jiaxing was killed was Huang Rongbei, 31 years old, and native of Xiangcheng, Henan. Shortly after the training of the United States. Later, after research and analysis, after the U-2 was locked by the missile radar, U-2 urgently applied the angle bias response interference to the guidance radar, but there was a "28 anti-interference circuit" escort method. The two missiles are in the middle of the body.

Since 1968, the Kuomintang Air Force has been forced to stop sending this type of high -altitude reconnaissance aircraft to enter the mainland. In November 1974, the 35th flight squadron revoked from the Taiwan Air Force preparation, and the "Black Cat Squadron" ended.

Now, several shot down U-2 wreckage pieces made up a whole machine, displayed in the underground weapon hall of the underground of the Chinese People's Revolution Museum, and lying on the Red Flag Missile of our army in the year of the year. Although it seems that the body is broken and the cabin is dark, at that time, it had done whatever he wanted at a height of more than 20,000 meters and was unscrupulous. Looking at these wreckage, we can proudly say that this was hit by us half a century ago!
