China, Algeria, India, Belarus, Tajikistan, Mongolia and other countries sent troops to participate in the exercise. At the opening ceremony, the deputy minister of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, Yefelov announced the start of the exercise, and then the participating troops of various countries gave a speech and held a list.

The reporter learned from the China Joint Campaign Command that the exercise aims to deepen the pragmatic and friendly cooperation between the army of various countries, enhance the strategic cooperation level of all parties, and enhance the ability to jointly respond to multiple security threats. A total of four stages of the exercise of troops assembled, joint campaign planning, joint campaign implementation, and organizing troops to withdraw from four stages. The Chinese participating troops are mainly composed of the army, navy, and air force of the northern theater. They have more than 2,000 troops, more than 300 vehicles (equipment), 21 fixed -wing aircraft and helicopters, and 3 ships. Over the past ten days, China has participated in motorized marching, railway transportation, maritime maneuverability, and air transportation to successfully implement cross -border delivery tasks.

As one of the 4 strategic directions of the Russian army, the "Oriental" series of exercises occupy an important position in the Russian exercise system. The "Oriental-20122" exercise will be held in multiple training grounds and related waters in the Eastern Military Region of Russia. It will continue until September 7. The total strength of the participation will exceed 50,000, and a total of more than 5,000 weapons and equipment will be invested.
