Focusing on the demand for the construction of new combat forces in the new domain, they explore the construction of "clinical+scientific research+troops" medical research model, and calibrate the direction of "specific fields+special groups+characteristic medical research". They also set up 6 discipline centers and 1 health training simulation emergency treatment centers to carry out new technologies and new businesses in characteristic areas, and concentrate their strengths to protect the battlefield guarantee problem.

Since its establishment, the center has adhered to the needs of the new field and new combat medical guarantee as the traction, focused on the generation of new combat power core capabilities, and conducted in -depth research on the prevention and treatment of related diseases and warnings for the special operation environment of strategic support forces to ensure human and material resources Focusing on the battle towards fighting, there have been 36 topics of combat urgent needs priority projects and 73 topics that are closely related to the battlefield treatment. Since the beginning of this year, the center has selected medical experts to enter the training, go out to the sea, and cross -district training, and arrange the backbone of medical technology to participate in major tasks, and implement cross -disciplinary joint research on many new technologies and new businesses determined in the guarantee task. More than 10 scientific research institutes and more than 20 military and land medical institutions have carried out scientific research cooperation.

As of now, dozens of scientific research results in the center have been tested and applied in practical training, and the battlefield rescue capabilities have been effectively improved. Last year, the center was listed as the first batch of war -type medical institutions in the army.
