China's autonomy does not necessarily mean strict self -sufficiency, nor does it mean to bid farewell to the external market that depends on each other. In fact, it is based on the "dual cycle" strategy. It is impossible for China to abandon foreign trade by its economic vitality and global influence. What is more likely is to greatly strengthen the multinational supply chain and make it as much as possible from the global turmoil as much as possible.

The key to the Beijing plan is to achieve autonomy in science and technology. To this end, it is necessary to enhance domestic capabilities and reduce the gap between Chinese technology companies and foreign peers. This will require more cooperation with Western science and technology departments rather than less. The construction of a national unified market plan proposed by China seems to be mainly to make the Chinese market more attractive to global companies.

Beijing's pursuit of autonomy is carried out in the context of increasingly confident and aggressive Western strategic posture. This seems to be a reaction to the United States' continuous upgrading of the Taiwan Strait. China ’s increasing international self -confidence has been supported by the expansion of military power. This expansion seems to be mainly targeted at the United States and its allies. Beijing has accused them of trying to create a "Indo -Pacific NATO" that curbs China.

Faced with the strategic unpredictable rise of China, the West needs to enhance the impact through reuse and diversification of supply chain. To do this, the West must actively cooperate with the global southern partners, including India, Brazil, Mexico, Nigeria, South Africa, and ASEAN, and many of them are now interdependent with China.
