I am Li Huaixin. In 1951, at the age of 16, I devoted myself to the barracks with blood. When fighting against the United States, the Volunteer Army was very difficult. North Korea's terrain is complicated and there are many mountains. In a battle, I was ready to rush forward with a gun. I heard the squad leader shouting "lying down" behind me. Before I had time to react, it was a deafening explosion. When I woke up, my legs were injured. Due to my young age, my legs have no amputation for conservative treatment. Until now, this leg will still hurt when it rains.

I took a rest in the rear hospital for more than half a year. After the injury was discharged, the company leader considers that I had injuries in my legs, so I decided to apply for a disability certificate for me and let me re -work. At that time, I felt that I was still young and did not want to resume members, so I took the initiative to ask the leader to ask for the army, and the leader agreed.

In April 1956, Chen Yi, then Deputy Prime Minister of the State Council, was appointed by Chairman Mao to lead the Central delegation into Tibet to congratulate the preparatory committee of the Tibet Autonomous Region. The Lanzhou Military Region selected me as the squad leader, and led 11 guard soldiers to Tibet to be responsible for Chen Yi's living, life and safety. Two months later, we successfully completed the security task in Tibet and returned to the original troops.

In 1957, I ended my military career and returned to my hometown. Seeing that the folks are lacking in food, I am determined to lead everyone to develop agricultural production. Later, the team's grain output increased from 200 pounds to 400 pounds, and every family could eat enough. To this end, the Ningxian Party Committee rewarded me a shelf car and rewarded a tractor to my team. These rewards came in handy at the time.
