The Zhangye Cultural Relics Protection Research Institute was awarded the title of advanced units of the Special Survey of Grottoes Temple in the country

China Zhangye News (reporter from Zhangye City Rong Media Center) Recently, the State Administration of Cultural Relics has notified the advanced units and outstanding individuals in the special survey of the National Grottoes Temple of the Cultural Relics System.

The State Administration of Cultural Relics launched a special survey of Grottoes Temple in November 2020. It surveyed the cave temple (including cliff statues) and 30 stone carvings, 438 caves, 401 body, murals, and more than 1200 square meters of the city.Zhang, text records of more than 20,000 words, nearly 300 drawing drawings, and 24 investigation reports.The survey shows that there are 26 grotto temples (including cliff statues) in our city, which are concentrated in Southern County, Minle County, Shandan County and Gaotai County. The number of grotto temples ranks third in the province.
