In Buddhism, we often hear a concept, called "the god of protection". We do n’t know much about these gods, so when going to the temple, we often have the question of “who is this” in some images of non -Buddha bodhisattva on the altar. The protection of the law refers to the maintenance of the Dharma, which is divided into two types: world care and intelligent care. They have a variety of sources, and different Buddhist sects also have different guardians. Most of them come from other belief systems, religions and even folk traditions. Buddhism absorbs them into their own sects and become our well -known god of protection. For example, Brahma, Inkuro, and Shiva of ancient India. In Japan, Hachiman God, Niu Tau Kings, and Sanbao Desert in Shinto have also been absorbed into Buddhism and became a protective law. Among the many Buddhist Dharma gods, eight are familiar to us but have little to know in detail. They are called "Tianlong Babu".

Tianlong Babu is the eight mythical races headed by Tianzhong and Dragon. Many literary works are called monsters, but this is actually inappropriate. Although these eight different mythical races are different, they have their own powers, so the concept of "non -human" should be more appropriate.

Mandala six reincarnation parts

In the six reincarnations of various art categories, three animals often appear at the center: pigeons, snakes, and pigs, which represent the three poisons in Buddhism: greed, 嗔, and idiot. Before introducing the Tianlong Babu in detail, we must first understand their profile, that is, most of them come from six. That is to say, they still have live beings. They are still in the reincarnation we are familiar with, so The seven love and the hot temper are often not tamed or even a little trouble is their nature. This is why Buddhism absorbs them to become protective and can continue to practice.

Deva Tianzhong

Heaven, also known as the heavenly people, is the affectionate sentient beings living in the sixth Taoist Tao. The earliest originated from ancient Indianism. Therefore, many heavenly care methods are mythical characters from ancient Indianism, such as Dahei, Four Heavenly Kings, and Emperor Shitian, Wei Yantian, etc. Emperor Shitian is the king of the gods in the Vedic era, Infanto, and the leader of the thirty -three days of the gods.

In Buddhism, although heaven has longevity and super strong ability, they still belong to six, that is, they still need to enter the reincarnation. The ultimate goal of learning the Dharma.

Many Southeast Asian countries still have the custom of worship of Naga today. According to legend, Naga can rain, and it will bring a bumper harvest to the Grand Land, but when it comes to human un respects, it will also be angry and create disasters. In the ancient Vedic literature, the Water God Exjunction Tower is the leader of Naga.

In Hanzhong Buddhism, the Naga family is basically equivalent to the Dragon clan, which is the result of the integration of foreign legends and local culture. So in many Buddhist stories, we often see the dragons. The sentient beings of the Dragon Ministry will take the responsibility of defending the Dharma, and often appear with the image of guarding the monks or practitioners of the Dharma. Of course, there will also be a dragon crowd who will make trouble because of impulse. Continue to practice. However, Longzhong is still a very powerful family, so he can tie the first two of the Tianlong Eight Hitter with the heavenly people. It is worth mentioning that the natural enemies of the Naga family, named the Golden Wing Bird, is another family in the eight in Tianlong: Galou Luo.
