A few days ago, the team of Professor Cai Dawei of Jilin University and Professor Jiang Yu of the School of Animal Science and Technology of Northwest Agricultural Forestry Science and Technology of Agricultural Forestry Science and Technology made important progress in the field of ancient DNA research in Malaysia. For the first time in the world, the research has successfully obtained the high -quality whole genome data of the exterior horse's Austrian Malaysia, which has rebuilt the evolutionary history of the horses.
The Marco animal has been closely related to people since ancient times, and has had a significant impact on the development of human society. The origin and domestication research of Chinese family horses has always been the forefront and hot science issues that the international academic circles are concerned. Archaeological evidence shows that as early as the Longshan period, there were sporadic horses in the archeological site, but whether horses were domesticated in academic controversy during this period.
The Cai Dawei team conducted a full genome analysis of 26 ancient horses from the three archeological sites (Heilongjiang Honghe Site, Shaanxi Muzhuzhu Liang Site, and Ningxitang Beiyi Site in Northern 3500) since 3500 years ago). It is confirmed that these ancient horses belong to the extinctioned horses, and the Austrian horse, thus denying the previously thought of the October Malaysia's final renewal of the end of the end of the world -the turn of the new world (about 12,000 years ago). The extinction time has been advanced to 8500 years.
In addition, the study found that Austrian horses belong to the fourth subordinate of the three subordinates of the horse, zebra, and donkeys, and for the first time that the Austrian horse still survives in the bronze era. Knowing, it provides important clues for the origin and domestication research of Chinese family horses, and provides an important reference for exploring the evolutionary history of other large animals since the new world. Related research results have been published in ELIFE of the top international comprehensive journal.
