Niu Yuchen is a graduate student of the 2021 Master of Journalism and Communication of Xi'an Jiaotong University. During the undergraduate period, he was awarded national scholarships, school first and other academic scholarships, and published comments on publications such as "Literature and Art" and "Hong Kong Literature". His instructor, Associate Professor Wang Yao, is mainly engaged in science fiction literature and cultural research, and has been engaged in science fiction literature creation for many years with his pseudonym "Xia Yan". In recent years, many undergraduates and graduate students have studied research on emerging literary phenomena such as science fiction literature, online literature, film and television adaptation, and documentary, and have opened a number of research courses such as "science fiction and imagination", "creative writing", "film and television creation" Essence Wang Yao believes that in the new era calling for talents with interdisciplinary literacy, human education should be kept open to literary and cultural phenomena other than their discipline traditions, encouraging various practices across the frontiers, and continuously exploring the construction of "new liberal arts" construction and talent training direction.

The "Future Science Fiction Master Award" was founded in 2012. It is the original science fiction essay award with the largest number of short -term submissions in China.
