On the evening of June 25, the 19th Mediterranean Games kicked off in Olan, western Alfa, and 3,390 athletes from 26 countries and regions will participate in 24 projects.

Algerian President Twita, Qatar Emil Tamim and Chairman of the International Mediterranean Games Committee David Tizano attended the opening ceremony of the Ohard Olympic Stadium. The Mediterranean Games is a regional sports meeting participating in the Mediterranean coastal countries and regions. The first event was held in Alexander, Egypt in 1951, and then held every four years. Algerian capital Al ander held the Seventh Mediterranean Games in 1975. The last competition was held in Tarangna, Spain in 2018.

The Mediterranean Games will be closed on July 6.
