It was in 2004. At that time, I was studying the graduate school of Chinese philosophy at the Department of Philosophy of Shandong University. The teaching teacher is Professor Liu Jie of Western philosophy. The class was at night, and the place was at a classroom on the second floor of the School of Philosophy and Social Development, the Old School of Shanda Hongjialou. When I returned to the old place and found that this building had already become the building of the School of Foreign Languages. This is later. Speaking of phenomenology, you must not talk about Heidegger. Talking about Heider, Professor Zhang Xianglong in the Chinese phenomenon academy. In Professor Liu Jie's class, I heard Mr. Zhang's name for the first time. At that time, he is the director of the Peking University Phenomenatology Research Center and the academic member of the "Institute of Foreign Philosophy", a key research base of the Ministry of Education. Originally, I thought a little person who liked Chinese philosophy, and a famous professor who studied Western philosophy, would not have any intersection. I bought this book with a dormitory friend Zhang Kebin (now Professor of Shanda Yixue Center).

At that time, I was doing a master's degree in Mozi's Confucianism. Mr. Zhang's book seems to mention some content of Mozi. When I read it, although I didn't understand it, I had felt the obvious changes in Mr. Zhang's academic aspects. Later, he wrote the book "Learn from Phenomenon to Confucius". This transformation from west to middle is becoming more and more obvious. Can I talk about Confucius from phenomenology? I am naturally interested, so I bought his book. After reading it, there are still fewer parts of Confucius. At that time, I was a little disappointed.

Until I saw Mr. Zhang's masterpiece "Confucius' phenomenology interpretation of nine lectures: Ritual Life and Philosophy", he was surprised, and there was a feeling of shocking and irritating. Mr. Zhang's lecture is completely different from the previous lectures of the Chinese philosophy. It turns out that this is Confucius! This is phenomenology! He told Confucius to speak lively, very vivid, and so reasonable. Confucius is a living person. Although there is an extraordinary state, after all, it is still a person. Such Confucius has a taste, I like it.

2. Email with Mr. Zhang Xianglong

I was called by Mr. Zhang's thoughts, and I suddenly had the urge to communicate with Mr. Zhang. At that time, Mr. Zhang's email address was easy to find on the Internet. Email is his Peking University mailbox. I had the courage and wrote the first mail to him. It was January 25, 2015. About the book "Learn from Phenomenon to Confucius", I dare not make a beak in terms of content. Therefore, the content of the email mainly points out some of the typos of this book, and it is a speaking woodpecker. Unexpectedly, Mr. Zhang quickly replied. He thanked me very much, and hoped that the book can be able to make these wrong words when the book is reprinted.

Hello! Write a letter to disturb you. Your book "Confucius' Phenomenon Explanation Nine Lectures -Ritual Life and Philosophy" is a masterpiece of your academic shift. I noticed that in the study internally, there was a possibility of turning. Speaking, your academic has shifted from Western philosophy to comparison of Chinese and Western philosophy.
