The exhibition is based on cultural relics as the carrier, and systematically tells the content of the historical garden cluster with the "Sanshan and Five Garden" as the core in terms of site selection, construction, gardening art, historical functions, and protection development.

The exhibition divides the five chapters of landscapes, the prosperity of the famous garden, the shift of the sky, the garden, and the new birthday of the ancient garden, explaining the landscape environment of the historical garden of the western suburbs of Beijing, the years of gardening, and the art of reaching the peak. According to reports, here is exhibiting the "Xiangshan Tourism Map", which is only existing in the Qing Dynasty. "Xiangshan Tourism" is painted by the Ruyi Pavilion of the court painting agency. The animation uses "Xiangshan Tourism" as a blueprint to digitize the blueprint, allowing tourists to immersely experience the cultural mood of the exhibition "This landscape".

"Xiangshan Tourism" belongs to the image painting method, highlighting the depiction of Royal Road, bridges, villages and towns, Jindu, post stations, ponds, and gates. Each road is noted for mileage, reflecting the inheritance and change of ancient and modern traffic roads. In the picture, the mountains, rivers, cities, and buildings are used as the basic elements, and the roads connecting to the town are focused on the personal experience of watching the way to watch on both sides when traveling along the road.

"Xiangshan Tourism" was collected by the Beijing Summer Palace management in 2021, and was originally hidden in the Summer Palace Museum.

The exhibition content is not limited to the "Sanshan and Five Garden" of the Qing Dynasty (Changchun Garden, Yuanmingyuan, Jingyi Garden, Jingming Garden, Qingyi Garden), but enlarged the vision to the "Tsinghua Garden", "Spoon Garden" and the Ming Dynasty The Xichun Garden, Chengze Garden, Zefu Garden, and Langrun Garden of the Qing Dynasty enabled tourists to understand the historical context and change of historical gardens in the northwest suburbs of Beijing. Among them, Xichun Garden, during the Xuantong period, established Tsinghua Academy on the garden site, and renamed it as National Tsinghua University in 1928. Chengze Garden and Langrun Garden are now on the campus of Peking University.
