In 1983, in order to meet the requirements of the masses, Shijiahong County Party Committee and the County People's Government studied and decided to organize a large -scale event for the Dragon Boat Festival. At that time, I was also drawn from the Cultural Museum to the "Shooting Dragon Boat Competition Office" from the Cultural Museum. I was responsible for the work of the early connection and the post -publicity and reporting work, so I witnessed the grand occasion of the Dragon Boat competition.

In the two days of the fourth day of the lunar calendar and the fifth day of the lunar calendar, the masses in the county all over the county flocked to the county seat, and more than 20,000 people squeezed the embankment of the Minjiang River and even the river dam. The Minjiang River in Shighong County has never been as beautiful as that Dragon Boat Festival. Thirty ships were dressed up with flowers, and a color archway was tied on the boat. The boat was surrounded by shade fabrics, palace lamps were hung under the cloth, and various bouquets were hung around. The boat was also covered with a five -star red flag and a lot of colorful small flags. These flags fluttered gently under the wind of the river wind, shining shining under the sun. One of the largest flower boats was command boats, and county leaders and guests from other places were on this boat. These flower boats sparsely landed on the river, embellishing the Minjiang River colorful. People watched this charming scene, and they were unwilling to be refreshing and energetic.

The dragon boat participating in the competition appeared in the river. At the beginning of the competition, with a few ritual sounds, 7 dragon ships organized by the cultural, educational, commercial, shipping, hydropower systems and the three communities of the suburban communes immediately entered a tense competition under the command of the headquarters. I saw the green dragons, white dragons, fire dragons, and yellow dragons in the Jiangzhong shot forward like an arrow. The leader of the boat waved his wide sleeves and struggled, and the drummer of the stern rang the drums. The rowing athletes were on the scorching sun of the hot summer. Among them, the athletes of the cultural, educational, commercial, and hydropower systems participated in the competition for the first time, but they performed well. Especially the two dragon boats are all female athletes. They have never scratched the dragon boat, but they are unwilling to show weakness, get motivated, and strive to go upstream. The kind of tough will and the spirit of stubborn hard work is called by the audience. People desperately cheer for them to cheer and cheer.

In the gap between the competition, a traditional folklore event such as dragon boat grabbing and dragon boat worshiping the flower boat was also held. Each flower boat threw ducks into the river, and athletes with good water on the dragon boat jumped into the river and struggled to grab. The sailors who grabbed the duck could get a reward.

At 6 pm on the fifth day of May, the two -day shooting dragon boat competition event ended successfully. In the warmth of firecrackers and gongs and drums, the responsible comrades of the county people's government distributed award and prizes to the winning units. The county chief Tang Yichang spoke at the closing ceremony. On behalf of the county party committee and the county people's government, he congratulated, thanked and condolences to all the athletes and staff participating in the event.

The general public was very satisfied with that event. They said that this time was really "people show strong, heaven, help, and lively."
