The atmosphere at the time was very warm.

Xie Mian proposed that Liu Denghan at the 1956 level may be Liu Denghan's proposal Hong Zicheng. Because Xie Mian and I don't know much about Hong Zicheng. I went to Qian Wenhui in the 1955 class 3. 3. He Qifang's worries and our sense of mission

Obviously, Xu Chi and Sha Ou represent a decision of the editorial department. To create a new situation in the historical exposition of the new poem. On the one hand, they show their support for this boom, and the other is to position many issues of Chinese new poems according to the new concept. The enthusiasm and enthusiasm they showed us even moving us. You know, in general, in general, we are expected to be invisible. Now it is actually a schedule. This is not only what Li Xian can summarize. At that time, the Chinese department students in China abounded, why did they choose us? It may be the reputation of Peking University. At that time, he had heard of it, and Wang Wei had been regarded as a representative of reflection. He is of course helpless. He pays attention to the evaluation of Tao Yuanming, which is also an intellectual of the landlord class. If he is also denied, He Qifang said, then he cannot accept it anyway. To his joy, Tao Yuanming was not simply denied in our "red literature history". Tao Yuanming was denied by the history of literature written by the university students of Bei Shi. Perhaps this is precisely that the "Poetry" people fancy us: Although brave, it is not messy.
Personally, I have always liked literary creation, especially poetry, and I don't want to focus on academic research. Before participating in the writing of red literature, I haven't even published an article with theoretical colors. When writing the first draft of the history of red literature, my text was influenced by poetry and imagined. According to my friends, Chen Suyi, who reviewed my manuscript at the time (later became Mrs. Xie Mian), said that Sun Shaozhen's manuscript could not be connected. However, after two or three months of tempering, I was actually selected with Li Bai, who was selected with the famous talent Xie Mian. It shows that my sentence has begun to be coherent. After entering the history of contemporary literature, I also studied Li Ji, Ruan Zhangjing, field and others after the founding of the New China, especially the "mountain songs" of Motano (Yuan Shuian). It doesn't seem to be difficult to write some manuscripts. This also gives me full confidence. At the same time, I do n’t have to take this opportunity to practice my pen and test my potential. Maybe there are some room for development in this regard.
Fourth, rich information and collectivism enthusiasm
Collective scientific research was not just a direction at that time, but also a honor. After our manuscript was published in the Poetry Magazine, it continued to receive the manuscript fee, which was about 120 yuan per issue. This was a small number at the time. It should be you that you should use the winter vacation and should belong to you. I remember that it was allocated at the time, and each person was about 20 yuan. Xie Mian also led us to a small restaurant for a meal. It was very ordinary. One of the dishes was bitter gourd. I never eaten it and didn't feel delicious, but Xie Mian said that it was very good. Xie Mian also said something, the idea was to get the manuscript fee, and it was obtained. There was nothing terrible, but don't have personal fame and fortune, and so on.
It is not difficult to collect materials and read materials collectively. At that time, I was accustomed to collective life, and everything followed the spirit of collectivism. It was always alert to the erosion of individualism, especially personal fame and fortune. As for the ideas, of course, it must be unified, but there is no obstacle. Because before entering the study, we are only the enthusiastic readers of modern Chinese poetry. Although their personality and hobbies are different, especially the reading taste, the difference is very large. However, there is no concept of a very clear system. There must be no major obstacles at the level of political ideology. Moreover, at that time, the criticism of the modern literature history of Wang Yao, the "bourgeois expert", showed the truth, that is: modern Chinese history is the history of advancing in the direction of socialism led by the party; The socialist factors under the leadership of the party gradually became stronger and finally entered the history of socialism. Having caught this red line and grabbed the lifeblood of the new poem. Coupled with the spirit of daring to do, there is no way to go. We are so optimistic. Because of the confidence and bourgeois experts, we have innate superiority. We have been trained by systematic Marxism -Leninum theory and have the beliefs of party leadership literature. Before entering the study of modern literature history, I studied articles from the authoritative theoretical theory of party theory of Zhou Yang and Shao Yilin. They clearly pointed out that as early as the May 4th New Literature Movement, the factors of socialism were very clear. The modern literature history courses we are studying are discovered by Mr. Yan Jiayan, who was still a graduate student at the time, and the information of the Zuo Lian and the previous party's early theorists. We are all convinced of all this. The socialist direction of modern new poems and the direct leadership of the party from ideological to the organization are a red line that is constantly conscious and deepened. This is almost no controversy in our writing process.
The editorial department of "Poetry" seems to trust us very much, and almost no ideas or political requirements have been put forward. This may be that the public opinion at that time had already formed a kind of setting, that is, the young people were full of spirit, the fighting spirit, and had already gone ahead. The older generation of people had only followed by followed. At most, serve us. For example, the new collection of poems of the Writer Association and the Beijing Library should be borrowed as much as possible. Coupled with what we borrowed from the Peking University Library, two wooden beds were full. In retrospect, it is really lucky. It is a feast of information. For the first time, I have exposed to so many precious information. Commented poems such as Jiao Juyin and Lu Zhiwei can read them at hand. Some information is quite amazing, and it is unforgettable to this day. For example, the first version of Guo Moruo's "Goddess" is very different from the version of the 1950s, and the "Socialist" elements such as Lenin and other Lenin are added to the version of the 1950s. Shao Quanlin discussed the socialist factors of new literature, based on the later version.
"Poetry" was very assured of us at that time, they gave us books and magazines, and everything was made by us. Except for the Spring Festival for routine condolences, we did not control us anymore.
And we didn't seem to have conducted a few discussions, we carried out division of labor.
This division of labor, I want to come today, has a completely casual nature. Originally, I have paid more attention to the new poems in the May 4th period. I have also read publications such as "New Youth" and "New Tide". , I have been studying well for a long time. However, during the specific division of labor, I was responsible for the section from 1942 to 1949. Why do I allocate this paragraph to me, especially in the atmosphere of my friends in a very harmonious atmosphere, why did I not have any objection. Perhaps it is because of considering that this is collective scientific research, emphasizing that personal interests are ashamed. When I wrote here, I thought of another important understanding, surging in my subconscious at the time. This is exactly what I want to describe below.
5. Personal art fun obeys the will of the people
In terms of personal artistic taste at the time, I can say that literature and art from the liberated area after 1942 were incompatible, especially poetry. My artistic taste was formed in high school. In 1952, I was admitted to high school. Because of the publishing a small poem in Shanghai Youth Daily, I got the eight -dollar draft fee and bought a collection of poems. The exquisite and delicateness of the soul awakened me a lot of memories and made me discover many wonderful things in my soul. For a while, I woke up every morning and read Neruda. "Make the Lomatin Wake up" and "Love Song Dedicated to Stalingrad", many paragraphs I can recite. Later, in the Russian class, I read Pushkin's poem "Zhidayev". The gently and light rhythm is fascinating, which is much more exciting than the translation. I can still recite "Tochandayev" and Lemontov's "Cossack Culber" in Russian. I can recite some films in Russian poetry. Ma's early was the representative of futurism, and Neruda was symbolic. At that time, I was studying English and reading some Western romantic poets, such as Shirley's poems, especially the poems called "Bayon of Byron" by He Qifang. At a class meeting, I publicly said that college students should have a rebellious spirit. In the Communist Youth League team, he was criticized. The whole mind is like a window that opens one side. Many clouds flew up chaos. However, the open windows that are open to Li Ji can make Li Ji's faithful tour, including the popular "petroleum poetry" after his founding of the People's Republic of China. In 1957, I almost became the rightist, which made me be in the mental crisis for about a year. I often ca n’t get rid of the feeling of pain. I ca n’t help but reflect on it. I believe that I love socialism and love the Communist Party. I can't stand myself as the enemy of the people. But I can't help but admit that my thoughts are always inconsistent with the party, and my artistic taste often collides with the direction advocated by the party. In the field of poetry, I cannot accept Li Ji and Zhang Zhimin. In the novelist, I privately believe that Zhao Shuli's "Sanli Bay" and Shawlohov also write agricultural cooperation "Horgan Virgin Land". Big elephant. I was proud of the rebellious personality of college students, but the days when I was on the edge of the rightist made me completely lose my confidence in myself. It seems that I must fundamentally transform the nature of my bourgeoisie. The reason why my artistic taste is incompatible with the working people is definitely the world view of the exploitation class. Since the party saved me in the anti -rightist movement, what other reasons do I have no reason not to wash my mind and completely transform myself?
I take the new poem after re -understanding and evaluating the "Speech" as a good opportunity for my own ideological transformation and interesting transformation. I almost forced myself to agree with these concepts, and regarded the style of poetry represented by Li Ji as a transformation of the new poem of May 4th. It was a new breakthrough in art.
6. The hard work of eating only two meals a day
When we decided to go to a small suite in the dormitory of the Chinese Writers Association in the winter vacation, there was a very realistic problem immediately, there was no cafeteria there. We must solve the problem of food ourselves. We have not eaten in any other meal units except for eating in the Peking University cafeteria. Sometimes I eat a meal in a small shop on the street. Although since 1958, except Beijing, other cities across the country have to pay food stamps in restaurants. Considering economic conditions, it is impossible to eat in the hotel every day. I decided to drive myself. When you buy food yourself, you have to have food stamps. I don't know how to think about it. Xie Mian actually called me such a horse -style character to go to the big dining room office. This is not expensive. According to the quantity of two weeks, 90 pounds of food stamps are given. It was national food stamps, each pound, 90 pounds is 90. Brand new, exquisite printing, like stamps, piercing in the middle is connected. When you go to Peace, the nearby grain shop, people do not sell, there must be a hukou book. In the dormitory of Peace, we don't know anyone. We really want to borrow the account book from Mr. Zou's house, but we are also concerned, for fear that we can buy it, people's quantitative is occupied, and now I can’t remember whether it was borrowed from Mr. Zou at that time. Jack of rice, the stove that led the cigarette tube to the outdoor was born, and he boiled a little porridge and mixed it for a night. The next day, it was found that someone had a headache (it seemed to be Yin and Jinpei). Later, Mr. Zou, or Mrs. Zou came to see it, saying that the cigarette tube was blocked. Very dangerous, headache is gas poisoning. As soon as we were scared, we didn't dare to cook by ourselves. What to do? Xie Mian decided to eat in the small shop outside. But three meals a day were too wasteful, and decided to eat two meals a day. Remember the most inconspicuous small restaurant in Beijing Hutong. I do n’t know where the fourteen days of food costs came from the cafeteria, or wherever the Mian tried to make a way to make up, I do n’t remember it at all. After the winter vacation, the task was basically completed and returned to school. The most distinctive thing to stay in the impression is that we took the taxi for the first time. Five points per kilometer. 90 pounds of food stamps are not useful and did not pay attention, so put it in my box. After a year, in 1960, hunger attacked us. There are food stamps no matter where you go. People do not care about it, but to overcome the urge to eat full, and the food ticket becomes precious. At this time, I remembered that it was about 90 pounds of food stamps in the box and quietly looked for it, but there was no shadow. Essence I have been sad for this reason for several days.
7. At the discussion of the "Poetry", the different performances of Guo Xiaochuan, Zang Kejia, and Lou Shiyi
The "Poetry" organization discussed in the conference room of the Writer Association of Wangfujing. Speaking of Ai Qing, he introduced some modern poems written by Erya as a pseudonym in his early years, and so on. What impressed me the most was Guo Xiaochuan, and he was frank. It seems that it is not just the value of poetry from ideological evaluation, and artistic achievements cannot be ignored. After a year, I was dispatched to Fujian Overseas Chinese University. At that time, Guo Xiaochuan came to Fujian to write a report literature on "The Drought and Drought Land". Liu Denghan and I went to Gulangyu, Xiamen to see him. He said frankly that at the time he was not satisfied with the "New Folk Song" campaign to write folk songs, so that he couldn't speak, so he had to talk about the people's song. It is also said that in fact, some articles of Guo Moruo did not come from Guo Moruo's hands, but they wrote it. Guo Moruo followed the announcement. At that time, Mr. Shi Yi talked about the specific situation of the Zuo Lian period, especially Jiang Guangci. The left -wing romantic poet, in the end, was a Communist Party member, and it was a bit vague. The style of speeches of Lou Shiyi, Xu Chi and Guo Xiaochuan is different from the style of Zang Ke's family. They are obviously the parties, but they never mention themselves.

Too many comments and references of the predecessors' comments may block their free thinking on the opposite side. After many years, I know that in more exaggerated words, this is the pursuit of "originality". The beginning of my "New Aesthetic Principles is on the Rise" is nothing like this.
