On September 16, the State Administration of Cultural Relics held a third -quarter routine press conference in Beijing to introduce important progress in major projects in "archeological China". Among them, Zhengzhou Shangdu Academy Street has exposed a "golden mask" for the first time, which was earlier than the golden mask unearthed from the Sanxingdui site in the late Shang Dynasty.

The Shangdu site of Zhengzhou, Henan, is the capital site of the Shang Dynasty in the early and middle periods of the Shang Dynasty. It is generally considered to be the first capital built by the king Tang of the Shang Dynasty, about 3600 years ago. From May to August 2022, the Zhengzhou Cultural Relics and Archeology Research Institute found a high -grade aristocratic tomb area in the Baijiazhuang period in the middle of the Shang Dynasty. The tomb area is located in the south of Zhengzhou East Street, east of Zijingshan Road, and north of the Academy Street. It is about 200 meters away from the South City Wall of Zhengzhou Mall. It is about 450 meters from Dongcheng Wall.

Huang Focheng, a researcher at the Zhengzhou Cultural Relics and Archeology Research Institute, introduced that the cemetery remains about 10,000 square meters. A total of 25 tombs were found, of which 3 tombs were unearthed bronze, 6 suspected sacrifice pits, and the remaining 16 speculations were funeral tombs.

Among them, the Tomb 2 is the largest number of funerals currently found in Zhengzhou Mall. The most richest, richest, and highest grades are unearthed. More than 200 pieces fully demonstrate the senior aristocratic identity of the tomb owner.

What the most concerned about the public's attention is the golden face that has been buried for thousands of years and is still shining, covering the master of the tomb. According to measurement, the gold covered with a length of 18.3 cm, a width of 14.5 cm, and a weight of about 40 grams, and 88%of the gold content. This is the first time in the national cultural site of all businessmen, and it is the only gold cover. The phenomenon of gold burial in a large amount of gold in the tomb is also first discovered.

Huang Focheng said that the Shangzhou Cemetery Street's cemetery in Zhengzhou Shangdu Academy has further enriched the content of the medium -term culture of the Shang Dynasty. It is an important evidence of the evolution of the site of Zhengzhou Mall and the history of history. A number of gold supplies unearthed from high -level aristocratic tombs reflect the cultural exchanges and close connections of East and West during the business period.
