After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Zhang Jide was rated as a martyr. After the completion of the Martyrs Memorial Hall of Liu Bojian, he included the martyrs of Zhang Ye's virtue into the roster. The Bazhong British Museum also includes its name and deeds in the memorial for future generations.
