Last month at the Shanghai Museum's "Zhaizi China" exhibition, when I saw the Shang Dynasty, I remembered two people. With the sleepy night of yesterday, I finally found the gap to write them -Zhou Guozhen and Picasso, and the owl in their hands and pen.
The Shang Dynasty showed by Shangbo, unearthed in the tomb of Yinxu Women. Alas, it is the general name of ancient Chinese birds such as owls. The ancient ancestors believed that the owl was day -to -night, and it was a flying bird in the night. Some people give their yin messenger, and then make their decoration appear on the tomb coffin and sacrifice ritual. Some people see it as the gods that break through the night sky, as a totem and protecting God. If in the Shang Dynasty, 尤 is particularly loved and worshiped, and it is also considered to be a symbol of heroic and intelligent poultry.
This Shang Dynasty has a history of more than 3,000 years, but its standing posture and round eyes are still very lively. Beasts, let us appreciate the imagination of the first people. And I can't help but think of art, art, and art, a conversation between humans and the world. Once, we asked the heaven and earth to understand and pray for this world with artistic records. Today, we look for ourselves from art, and look at the inner world that is small but most magnificent to the universe.
Standing before Zun Zun, the first thing I thought of was Professor Zhou Guozhen, because someone used to use "owl" to describe his appearance on the journey of Chinese contemporary ceramics - Millennium Porcelain Capital Jingde Town. Faced with tradition and conservative, he was like "a lonely and alert owl, flying constantly in the jungle and night", and finally flew a brand new world.
Teacher Zhou, like an eagle, has also created many works of owl themes, such as a number of blue and white glaze red or "Pastoral Guard" in painting. There was also the "Jingguan" in the early years, which have been classic. It was a simple owl, and at a glance, he was deeply attracted by exaggerated eyes. The entire body of the owl uses the box soil boldly, full of natural interest. Although it did not focus on the details, it showed a strong domineering at the same time as the wind from the avenue to Jane. It seems to be looking at something, between without exposure, hiding thousands of words. Sometimes, I look at Teacher Zhou, who is always eye -catching, and often think of this quiet view. It is hot and burning. There is not only porcelain soil, but also his life.
Regarding Professor Zhou Guozhen's artistic achievements, a praise is widely circulated- "Picasso in China, Zhou Guozhen of the world". I think that this sentence is objectively describing the height of his artistic achievements. For example, through the owl, I also thought of the Western giant Picasso again. Coincidentally, he was an artist who raised the owl as a family pet.
In addition to cattle and pigeons, the owl is probably the "exploring flower" on the Picasso's creation list. Oil painting, porcelain plates, and even Picasso's masks to themselves can see this wise creature.
Last month, at the "Meet Picasso" exhibition in Shanghai, I also saw many owl pottery bottle created by Picasso.
They have different colors. They are engraved with knives, and they are used to the glaze. They are antique black paint, some of which are gray paint, which completely subverts the appearance of the "night walker" in reality. It has a free and open personality. This may also be similar to Picasso's temperament. No wonder Picasso will joke, "Owl is his own ancestor."
