2019
For the first time, China determines the identity of the unknown volunteer martyrs through DNA technology. The six martyrs who were confirmed in the first batch of identities were: Chen Zengji, Fang Hongyou, Hou Youxin, Ran Xubi, Xu Yuzhong, and Zhou Shaowu.
2020
The Martyrs Memorial Facilities Protection Center of the Department of Retired Military Affairs was established to undertake the search and appraisal of the remains of the martyrs.
2021
Among the seventh batch of relics, 9 seals were used to lock more than 300 volunteer martyrs' families for DNA collection and comparison. Through comparison, confirm the identity of Liang Bai, Zhan Zhizhong, Wu Xiongkui, and Lin Shui Shi.
2022
As of now, a total of 10 martyrs have been determined through DNA technology. On September 16th, the relic of a new batch of 88 88 in Han Volunteer Army will be welcomed.
