In the first course, Professor Cao Wenxuan introduced the original intention of the Peking University Literature Institute and the goal of teaching and training. Since the Chinese Department of Peking University recruited the first master's degree in writing in 2004, he has long been committed to the exploration of the cultivation of university literature education and writing ability. The literary lecture office will inherit this tradition, hoping to break the stereotype of "Chinese Department without training writers" , Improve the atmosphere of campus literature. In addition to the lectures of Cao Wenxuan and Li Yan, the course will invite famous novelists and emerging writers at home and abroad in the form of lectures or series lectures. This course will invite famous novelists and emerging writers at home and abroad to teach in the form of lectures or series lectures to open the school in the form of selection. In a semester, 3-7 writers are planned to invite.
