On August 31, the Xuanquan Site Protection and Development Project Exhibition Center started construction at Dunhuang City, Gansu Province. After the project is completed, in the past, it was mainly for the Xuanquan site of the World Cultural Heritage Points that was open to academic survey groups, which will welcome more tourists.

Xuanquan is a large official station on the ancient Silk Road, which has a history of more than 2,000 years. In the 1980s and 1990s, archeologists found more than 20,000 Han Jane here. In 2014, the "Silk Road: The Road Network of the Chang'an -Tianshan Corridor", including the Xuanquan Site, became a world cultural heritage.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Cultural Relics Institute of Dunhuang City, due to the incomplete infrastructure and other infrastructure of the road, the Xuanquan Site Site is mainly open for academic survey groups and rarely receives tourists. While adhering to the principle of protecting priority and minimal intervention, the project has strengthened the value interpretation and exhibition services of the site, and will better meet the public's needs for the visits of Xuanquan in the future. In terms of style, new buildings will match the site.

Sun Xiaoqiang, chairman of the Dunhuang Cultural Tourism Group, introduced that the total investment of the protection and development project of the Xuanquan site was 148 million yuan, of which the World Bank loan was 121 million yuan. The exhibition center is a building with a tourist service and site display function, covering an area of ​​25,000 square meters. Since March this year, the Xuanquan Site has built supporting facilities such as internal roads, parking areas, and public toilets.
