Visiting Xianqiao, Danyang City, Jiangsu Province, is a stone arch bridge 15 meters long and 4.5 meters wide, crossing the hometown of Jiuqu River. As one of the four ancient towns in Danyang City, visiting Xianzhen is named after visiting Xianqiao. During the Anti -Japanese War, visiting Xianxian Town was a place for the enemy and us. A tragedy created by a Japanese invaders under the visit to Xianqiao. In the recent month, Xuan Tea House was the largest teahouse in Xianxian Town. It was located under the Xixianqiao on the banks of Jiuqu River. It was prosperous to visit Xianzhen.

June 24, 1940 was the traditional collection of visiting Xianzhen. On this morning, a young soldier of the New Fourth Army saw that three Japanese invaders saw the three Japanese invaders on the street and threw a grenade to the Japanese invaders under anger. As a result, the grenade did not explode. Go to the nearby stronghold to move the rescue.

At 9 o'clock in the morning, the brutal Japanese invaders came to visit Xianqiao, set up a machine gun at the door of Xuan Tea House in recent months, and fired madly at the non -iron people in the teahouse. After that, the cruel Japanese invaders also killed those injured people with bayonet. In the past month, only two of the Xuan Tea House were spared. One of them jumped into the river and escaped, and the other was lucky to escape the enemy's bayonet after being injured and fell to the ground. This sudden tragedy killed 112 innocent people. Among them, there were 83 people in Xuan Tea House in recent months. More than a hundred livelihoods died under the bullets and bayonets of the Japanese invaders.

Visit the former site of Xianqiao tragedy

The visit to the Xianxian area centered on Xianxian Town witnessed the heavenly crimes committed by the Japanese invaders, and also wrote a touching anti -Japanese story.

During the comprehensive anti -Japanese war, Chen Yi came to visit the Immortal area four times to promote the public and organize the anti -Japanese armed to fight against the Japanese invaders.

On May 27, 1939, Guan Wenwei, head of the Danyang Anti -Japanese Self -Defense Corps, accompanied the commander of the New Fourth Army's team, Chen Yi, inspected the visit to Xianzhen. On the same day, he lived in the home of Tang Mingxin, the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Xianxian Town. In Tang Mingxin's home, Chen Yi and Tang Mingxin and others talked about the situation of the enemy and us in detail, analyzed many issues of the War of Resistance Against Japan. Tang Mingxin and others admired Chen Yi's outstanding vision. On this night, Chen Yi inscribed to Tang Tongqing based on Tang Mingxin's grandson Tang Tongqing: "Young is the pioneer of the times. The completion of the pioneer responsibility can only be obtained from the exercise from the struggle."

Chen Yi was the inscription of Tang Tongqing. Later, he was hidden in the stone wall of the old house and escaped the search of the Japanese invaders. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Tang Tongqing donated this precious Chen Yi inscription. In 1988, the local government embedded the text on the wall of the former site of Tangtongqing's home of Lane 1, Lane 1, Xianxi Road, as a content of patriotism education.
