Lan Jiandong, an alumni of Lan University, won the Eighth Lu Xun Literature Award!

On August 25th, the 8th (2018-2021) Lu Xun Literature Award was announced, and the short story "Unsable Portrait" of Lanzhou University's 1989 Chinese Department of Chinese Alumni, Vice Chairman of Hebei Provincial Writers Association, and famous writer Liu Jiandong won the award.

Alumni Liu Jiandong graduated from the Chinese Department of Lanzhou University in 1989, and published novels such as "People's Literature" and "Harvest" since 1995. He has authored a novel "Family Portrait", "A Tower", a collection of novels "Emotional Blade", "Black Eyes" and "Danish Tossear" and so on. He has won the "People's Literature" award, the October Literature Award, the "Novel Monthly" Hundred Flower Awards, the Cao Xueqin Chinese Literature Award, the Sun Li Literature Award, and the Hebei Literature and Art Revitalization Award. He has been selected as a novel in the Chinese Fiction Society many times. He is currently a member of the All -Committee of the Chinese Writers Association and a member of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the Hebei Writers Association.

Liu Jiandong's award -winning short story "Unsable Portrait" was published in "October" 2021, No. 6. The novel tells the story of a portrait of a painter invited by the disappearance of the girl Xiaoqing. The time background has stretched from the Anti -Japanese War to the founding of New China. Through clever ideas and exquisite artistic expression, the work has shaped a revolutionary heroic image of throwing a family business and loyalty to faith. After the release of "Unable to Complete Portrait", he was selected as a good novel list in 2021 of the Chinese Fiction Society, and was reprinted by many publications such as "Novels" and "Novel Monthly News".

The Lu Xun Literature Award is hosted by the Chinese Writers Association and is one of the most influential literature awards in China. It is selected every four years. The 8th Lu Xun Literature Award produced a total of seven award -winning works of novel awards, short stories awards, reporting literature awards, poetry awards, prose awards, literary theoretical review awards, and literary translation awards. In addition to the alumni Liu Jiandong won the eighth (2018-2021) Lu Xun Literature Award, the novel "The White Horse" of the alumni of Lanzhou University 2006 Literature Academy of Literature was also shortlisted for the nomination of the Lu Xun Literature Award.
