In today's painting world, many Chinese painters have ignored calligraphy. In fact, as a Chinese painter, if you do not pay attention to the practice of calligraphy at the beginning, you will definitely restrict your artistic direction in the future.
The reason why Mr. Li Keran can become a landscape painting is mainly inseparable from the nourishment of multiple arts, especially calligraphy. When Li Keran said in his fifties, he said, "I have the opportunity to make up for the lesson." It can be seen that Mr. Li Keran's hard work spirit.
Li Keran's calligraphy in his later years was powerful and full of golden stone. The achievements in calligraphy have made it perfect for their own landscape painting art. Li Keran's landscape paintings are in the pen, especially the lines of painting mountains and trees are consistent with his calligraphy lines. It can be said that calligraphy is an important part of Li Keran's art works. It is worth mentioning that Li Keran was painted in his early years, and later changed the painting of landscapes. And his work with cattle as the theme is far -reaching, and he has the brand of "Li Keran". Therefore, the painting world has the reputation of "Xu Beihong's horse, Qi Baishi's shrimp, Li Keran's cattle, and Huang Yan's donkey". Imagine that if Li Keran's paintings have not had those wonderful calligraphy posts and vivid shepherds "help" on the picture, will its works be much inferior? From this point, it also reflects the importance of many aspects of the artist.
I think that Li Keran's calligraphy is well written, mainly related to his teacher Huang Binhong and Qi Baishi all valued calligraphy. Fu Baoshi once said: "If the calligraphy does not have a considerable understanding and understanding, then the art of all China can be said to be an endless cause." The painter, especially a painter who painted Chinese paintings, must be buried at the same time to learn painting. The seeds of "calligraphy" make it grow synchronously with the brushes in your hand. Only in this way can your Chinese painting art develop healthily upward. Throughout the Chinese paintings of all ages, all of them are calligraphy, such as Zhao Mengfu, Xu Wei, Dong Qichang, Ba Dashan, Shi Tao, Zhao Zhiqian, Wu Changshuo, Qi Baishi, Huang Binhong, Pan Tianshou, Fu Baoshi, Li Keran, Lu Yishao and so on. Which one of them is not an art of painting and calligraphy? Some people even engraved everyone.
Fortunately, I dragged the "calligraphy" line while painting. Now, although I am not everyone, I can be regarded as an recognized "calligraphy and painting" calligraphy and painter in Qilu. In calligraphy, our teacher Mr. Wei Qihou from the famous calligrapher. Moreover, in order to learn calligraphy more systematically, in 2001, I entered the Central Academy of Fine Arts Calligraphy and engraved with Professor Wang Yan for a year, which made my calligraphy path more pure.
In addition, Mr. Li Keran was a professor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and my teacher Mr. Wang Yan was his graduate student. Moreover, in 1992, when I was studying the Chinese painting major in the Central Academy of Fine Arts, most of the professors taught for us were the students brought by Mr. Li Keran. According to the concept of art inheritance, Mr. Li Keran's artistic concept will naturally affect me. Having said that, I remembered another contemporary landscape painting, Mr. Lu Yishao. He is also a calligraphy everyone who has been taught at Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts (now the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts). His monograph "Landscape Painting" published in the early 1980s was one of the important readers in my early years of learning landscape painting. Later, I studied landscape painting in the Chinese Academy of Fine Arts, and accepted the teaching system of Mr. Lu Yishao.
Therefore, in my calligraphy and painting, there is no doubt that the artistic blood of the north Li Keran and the southern faction Lu Yishao is undoubtedly integrated. Mr. Li Keran believes that for the tradition of Chinese painting, you must be hit with the greatest skill and use the greatest courage. Mr. Lu Yishao said very much: "Reading in four points, writing three points, and drawing three points." The teachings of these two landscape paintings have also become my motto.
