Before the Nanchang Uprising, Guo Moruo and Li Yinger were appointed Director and Secretary of the Second Military Political Department of the Fourth Army commanded by Zhang Fa Kui, respectively.

Li Yinger (1903-1990), from Peng County (now Pengzhou), Sichuan Province, joined the Communist Party of China in 1925 and participated in the Northern Expeditionary War

At the beginning of the Nanchang Uprising, Guo Moruo, Li Yizhen and the political department staff were in Lushan. After getting the news, Guo Moruo rejected Zhang Fakui's retention. The plan went to Nanchang with the Political Department, but Zhang Fakui temporarily changed his hexagrams and only provided Guo Moruo with a hand -shaking car that could take four or five people. All members of the Communist Party of China were withdrawn from Shanghai.

Guo Moruo, Li Yizang, plus four of Yang Han Sheng (Secretary of the Political Department of the Four False Agency) and Mei Gongbin (Director of the Political Department of the 11th Division of the Fourth Army), shaking the car and rushed to Nanchang overnight. On the way, they encountered the robbery of the enemy's scattered soldiers from Nanchang. Guo Moruo was knocked down on the platform, twisted his belt, and broke the glasses. When they re -concluded and did not regret it at all, they continued to move towards Nanchang. When they laughed on the car -shaking car, they joked with each other, and they also made up a couplet: "Director Guo was suffering from the enemy's back, and Secretary Li was hurt by the middle and right. "Revolutionary optimism is jumping.

After several setbacks, they escaped in the dead. They rushed to Nanchang on August 4th and saw He Long, Zhou Enlai and others, and joined the ranks of the insurgents. He was appointed as the Secretary -General of the Staff (the director of the Staff is Zhou Enlai, and the chief of staff is Liu Bocheng).

During the Nanchang Uprising, Zhou Enlai and Li Yifang introduced Guo Moruo to the Communist Party of China. Guo Moruo rejected Chiang Kai -shek's senior official Hou Lu. During the low tide of the revolution, he resolutely joined the Communist Party of China. This courage and spirit was admirable.
