According to the needs of construction and the National Cultural Relics Bureau, the Hubei Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archeology and Xiangyang City Cultural Relics and Archeology Research Institute conducted a rescue excavation of the site. Seats, from the Western Han Dynasty, Eastern Han Dynasty, from the Northern and Southern Dynasties to Tang, basically crossing four dynasties. Most of these tombs have not been stolen or destroyed. The preservation is relatively complete, and it is rare in the history of Xiangyang archeology. The excavation of this tomb group has very important academic value for studying local cultural customs and historical revolution.

According to the person in charge of the archeological project of the construction site, the main unearthed utensils of the Han Dynasty tombs include Tao Ding, box, pot, warehouse, wells, stoves, copper mirrors, copper coins, etc. At the same time, there are exquisite utensils such as porcelain bowls and porcelain pots unearthed in the six dynasties. At present, archeological excavations are still undergoing, and more utensils will be unearthed.
