The State Administration of Cultural Relics carried out a special survey of red slogans in the country

In order to fully find out the preservation of the red slogan revolutionary cultural relics and promote the implementation of the red slogan protection and utilization action plan, the State Administration of Cultural Relics has recently issued a notice and launched a special investigation of the national red slogan.

The special survey was carried out in accordance with the principles of unified organization and hierarchical responsibility. The notice requires that localities rely on the third national cultural relics census and the first mobile cultural relics census data system to carry out the survey work. The scope of the investigation object covers the writing, drawing, and engraving of party and civilian organizations at all levels since the founding of the Communist Party of China in July 1921. Various red slogans, the overall work was launched in June 2022, and planned to end in April 2023.

The notice requires the provincial cultural relics department to formulate implementation plans to promote the investigation in an orderly manner. The Chinese Institute of Cultural Heritage will undertake technical support for the survey. Appropriate protection measures should be taken for the newly discovered red slogans, and important red slogans should be approved in a timely manner as cultural relics. (Leather Xuan)
