In 2007, a 26 -meter -high giant rubber duck drove into the port of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Overnight, the "big yellow duck" became popular on the Internet and became an art icon that is unknown! But do you know who is the creator? He is the famous "Father of Big Yellow Ducks" -the Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman!

On August 6, 2022, Hoffman will bring his animal group from all corners of the world, all time and space, and come to Beijing, China to invite you to participate in this Shanda Huanya party for three months. Hoffman invited everyone who hoped to be with childhood through art, extending limited exhibition space as an unlimited place of gathering. The carnival of the festival is a transcendence of daily life. People surpass the daily routine, the utilitarianity and pragmatism of reality, and the gender, the national borders, the position, the closeness of the relatives, equal and friendly, and the difference, so that it is different from daily life. The way to create a more peaceful and harmonious life and culture with this world, and is intoxicated.

Florent Horfman's solo exhibition "Gathering!", Will be presented to the audience today from August 6, 2022 to October 23, 2022. This exhibition is the first large -scale exhibition of Hoffman in mainland China, which will display more than 20 new works. On the 20th anniversary of the founding of Hofman Studio, he showed his most representative works in his artistic career and unprepared work. The exhibition is co -sponsored by R+Production and today's Art Museum.

"Colorful paper crumbs", Confetti, derived from Latin "Confectum", originally meaning small desserts. These colored paper evolved from grains and candy that people engaged in religious and traditional cultural activities. To this day, these colored paper is still widely used in the West for special clustering moments such as party, weddings, and birthdays.

In this exhibition, Confetti, as a symbol of the celebration ritual, connects the color of "gathered" and runs through the entire scene of the exhibition. Hoffman hopes to awaken the viewer to re -examine the essence of human gatherings and celebrating behavior with the symbol of colorful paper chips. The moment the color paper was thrown into the sky, it burst out the most instinctual joy. The sense of rituals it built was the reason why humans gathered together.

In the world of waves, we need simple innocence, the desire of the game, the ceremony of the festival, and the art of gathering, and the "second life" beyond daily life.
