One day in June 2019, in accordance with the work requirements of retired cadres living in different places each year, I was not short long after the management of old cadres' service management. For the first time, I went to Luzhou, Zhejiang Province to visit Zheng Jizhong, a retired cadre.

Along the way, my colleague Cao Meng talked to me Zheng Lao's situation.

Zheng Lao had a poor family in his childhood, and he was very diligent and hardworking. After the liberation war was fully launched, Zheng Lao Bei, the progress of ideas, was shocked, and also wanted to overthrow the old regime and build a new China.

In May 1949, Liu Bocheng and Deng Xiaoping led the Second Field Army to liberate Luzhou. Zheng Lao resolutely hid his family, took the pen to follow the Rong, participated in the Second Field Army University, followed the army to enter the southwest of Grand, and experienced the baptism of blood and fire. On November 28 of the same year, Liu Dengjun liberated Jiangjin. The party organization arranged for a group of second -field universities, including Zheng Lao, to stay in Jiangjin to participate in the construction of a new regime. Since then, Zheng Lao has been in Jiangjin for decades. He has dedicated his youth and hard work to the second hometown -Jiangjin.

In 1990, after Zheng Lao retired from Jiangjin County Agricultural Corporation, his hometown was affectionate, and the number of times returned to his hometown gradually increased. In recent years, he has lived in the Third Hospital of Luzhou because of his cerebellar atrophy.

I remember when I saw Zheng Lao, he walked tremblingly with white hair and thin figure, holding our hand and thanking him. There is a detail that I can't forget it. Soon after sitting down, Zheng Lao took out a stack of neat information from the cabinet and handed it to our hands. Oh, it turns out that this is a briefing for the History of Jiangjin Erno Army to donate to the hope of the project. There were records of old soldiers donated to poor students in mountainous areas since 1995. Zheng Lao donated the money every time. He said, "I don't care wherever I am, always concerned about the reading dreams of children in the mountains. As long as there is a need, I will continue to donate."

Since then, Zheng Lao, who is thousands of miles away, has become a concern in my heart.

On the eve of the National Day in 2020, two colleagues from Wang Dongliang and Hu Yao went to Luzhou again. Some regrets are that due to the influence of the new crown pneumonia, the hospital ward has implemented closed management. After multiple coordination, I saw Zheng Lao for the second time in front of the floor. He was even thinner, his body was a little bit stunned, and he needed to help others walk. In just ten minutes, separated by a thick glass door, we asked Zheng Lao to warm up, and briefly reported Jiangjin's development and changes in recent years.

Zheng Lao's hands lying tightly on the door, looking at us intently, his lips squirmed silently, and seemed to want to say something, but he was unable to express it.

Zheng Lao's daughter, Ruijun, told us that they had 6 siblings. When they were young, their father worked in the Jiangjin Berlin Supply and Marketing Cooperative in the remote mountainous area all year round. The conditions were very difficult and had no time and energy to take care of the family. Parents sent them back to Luzhou, and relatives who supported their old families raised and took care of them.

His father often told them that in the early days of liberation, he participated in the struggle of the bandit in Jiayu District, Jiangjin. When fighting the bandit in the "five forks", not only was surrounded by the bandits, but also injured himself. As the secretary and instructor of the district squadron, after he simply bandaged the wound, he continued to command the players with tenacious perseverance, and kept sticking to our reinforcement forces to arrive until he wiped out the bandits.

When I came back that time, Zheng Lao's body was often worried.

On February 17 this year, we accidentally received the news of Zheng Lao's death. Entrusted by the organization, my colleague Hu Yao and the comrades of the district supply and marketing cooperatives immediately set off to Luzhou. Zheng Lao's Lingtang was located in the old rural house, simple and solemn.

Click the three pillars of the fragrance, I bow deeply to Zheng Lao. At this moment, my respect and nostalgia for Zheng Lao came into being, and I silently said, "Zheng Lao, go all the way all the way!"

Suddenly, the two lines of tears blurred my eyes.
