The "Notice" proposes that traditional villages refer to villages with a richer traditional cultural resources that have been formed earlier, have rich traditional cultural resources, have a relatively complete preservation, and have high history, culture, science, art, social, and economic value. The sixth batch of Chinese traditional villages survey in principle is an administrative village. It is not included in the traditional Chinese village list and meets the following conditions:

(1) The accumulation of historical and cultural accumulation is relatively deep. The village has certain historical and cultural values; or it is related to important historical celebrities and important historical events that have happened; villages contain profound Confucian thoughts, Taoist thoughts, ancestors, traditional virtues, and humanistic spirit, etc. Regional characteristics or national characteristics.

(2) The village pattern texture is well preserved. The village site is conforming to the natural landscape, which has traditional characteristics and local representativeness. The village space structure continues the traditional pattern and texture, and the overall style is coordinated. The village structure is closely related to production and life, reflecting a specific historical and cultural background. The existing old villages maintain a rural landscape pattern with traditional artistic conception, and the new part can continue the traditional texture and style characteristics.

(3) Traditional buildings have certain protection value. In the village's cultural relics, historical buildings, historical buildings, and traditional buildings, or have a certain number, it has a certain number, which comprehensively reflects the traditional style of a certain historical period, and reflects the construction skills and architectural styles of specific regions and historical periods. Historical buildings, traditional architecture have a long history, exquisite construction, and complete preservation. The new building and existing architectural transformation can coordinate with the traditional architectural style, fully reflect the regional, ethnic and cultural characteristics.

(4) Well inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. The village has a richer intangible cultural heritage resources, and is an important inheritance area of ​​one or more representative projects at or above the county level. Folklore, traditional skills and other intangible cultural heritage have a good state of survival, and the village is high, and it is an important part of the production and life of local villagers. In traditional festivals, a variety of intangible cultural heritage exhibitions and related folklore activities are often held. The agricultural cultural heritage such as traditional agricultural species, farming production skills, traditional agricultural knowledge systems, and agricultural ecological landscapes are more fully retained.

(5) The foundation of the village is good. There are still a large number of villagers living in the village. The sixth batch of surveys of traditional Chinese villages include county -level surveys, provincial -level recommendations, materials review, expert review, and announced results. According to the requirements of the "Notice", the housing and urban and rural construction departments of all provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) must work together with cultural and tourism, cultural relics, fiscal, natural resources, agricultural and rural departments to do a good job of investigation in traditional villages (autonomous regions, municipalities) Organize the preliminary examination of experts to conduct field spot checks on traditional villages recommended by the county level. Before September 10, 2022, the recommended list of traditional villages that meet the requirements will be submitted to the Ministry of Housing and Urban -Rural Development, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the State Cultural Relics Bureau, and the State Cultural Relics Bureau, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Natural Resources, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Ministry.
