The historical and cultural heritage in the village is very deep. It has hundreds of years of lush trees, but also the millennium ancient wells engraved with historical footprints. The ancient residential building group in the village is one of the better ancient buildings in western Guangdong.

In 2014, Su Ercun was rated as the sixth batch of "Chinese historical and cultural villages", and became the only ancient village in western Guangdong to win this award.

In 2019, Guangdong Province selected 100 rural tourism boutique lines. Among them, two routes in Suixi County, Zhanjiang were selected. The second village of Jianxin Town, Sui Ri County, as the first Chinese historical and cultural village in western Guangdong, was incorporated into the "Suixi Rural Humanities and Antiques".
