The British Ministry of Commerce, Energy and Industry has announced the joint industry and government to fund 43.7 million pounds ($ 53.5 million) to support the development of the latest green car technology, including electric motorcycles and off -road vehicles.
Electric motorcycles and all -terrain 4 × 4 electric delivery trucks designed for emerging markets are one of the projects that benefit from funds.
The purpose is to help the development of the latest green car technology, while seizing economic opportunities to transition to clean transportation worldwide.
Two items for funding include::
The project zero discharge Norton, Solhar, Simidezz -17.2 million pounds ($ 21 million)
The project aims to develop an electric motorcycle that can provide high -level competition performance and scope of travel to improve labor capabilities, ensure local employment and help strengthen British competitive supply chain.
OX provides Clean (providing clean logistics for emerging African countries), LEAMINGTON SPA located in Vorikhire -17.1 million pounds ($ 20.9 million)
Ox Delivers Clean will develop a all -terrain electric delivery truck designed for emerging markets. It will be manufactured in the UK. By using long -life and low -cost batteries, it can withstand harsh off -road conditions.
These projects will ensure more than 550 jobs and reduce 27.6 million tons of carbon dioxide -equivalent to reducing the lifelong emissions of 1.1 million cars from the road.
These two projects have been funded through cooperative research and development competitions through advanced promotion centers (APC). The competition supports the development of innovative low -carbon car technology and will help promote Britain to ensure the safety of electric vehicle supply chains in global competition.
Feasibility studies will obtain further support for government industry funds through the car transformation fund (ATF) to obtain £ 9.4 million ($ 11.5 million). The fields that need to be studied include the development of electric vehicle (EV) battery components and the feasibility of using key minerals using British sources.
In addition to these two projects, 19 early proposals that can support the British electric vehicle supply chain also obtained funds to study, prove or strengthen their expansion scale, and may create more employment opportunities in the country.
