Chen Yudong introduced that the current "software definition car" must run on the appropriate chip and controller (VCU), and Bosch, as the main VCU supplier, is not only a chip production plant, but also the largest chip user and buyer. "Yesterday afternoon was asked by four customers to ask for delivery? They were asking for delivery in the fourth quarter. In fact, we were out of stock in September 300,000 units, which is very grim."

He pointed out that at present, the number of chips on a car from 500 to 3,000 pieces is roughly from fuel vehicles to new energy vehicles. The semiconductor has been used on the car for 50 years, and Bosch is the first to use the VCU on the car. In this case, Bosch's chip has only 17 pieces on average on each car around the world. The chip used in the main VCU is about 750 pieces, of which most of them are purchased, mainly from the top ten semiconductor companies.

In this regard, Chen Yudong called on domestic chip companies to develop car regulatory chips more quickly and unswervingly, and invested large and long cycles. I hope that various chip companies can do more in China. At the same time, it also called on encouraging international factories to set up factories in China. "At present, most of the international factories are only packaged in China. I hope that the wafer factories and packaging plants will come to China."

It is understood that in 2021, Bosch achieved a sales of 78.7 billion euros worldwide, of which 58%of the automobile business accounted for 45.3 billion euros. %.

Chen Yudong said that in order to truly realize software definition cars, Bosch hopes to have more investment in software. At present, Bosch has more than 55,000 employees in China and 8,850 R & D personnel. 30%of them are software talents. I hope that the proportion of software talents will be more than 50%as soon as possible.
