From January to August this year, the production and sales of new energy vehicles completed 3.97 million and 3.86 million, respectively, an increase of 1.2 times and 1.1 times year -on -year; Sales accounted for 22.9%of the sales of all automobiles; new energy vehicles had more than 10 million vehicles.

She pointed out that from a longer period of time, in recent years, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in my country have increased rapidly, the level of key technology has increased significantly, and supporting service systems such as charging infrastructure have been continuously improved. It can be said that my country's new energy vehicle industry has formed a good foundation. The development of new energy vehicles has entered a period of comprehensive marketization.

"This is mainly due to three aspects," said Meng Wei. First, there is a clear development direction and a planning policy system. my country takes new energy vehicles as the main direction of the automotive industry's transformation and upgrading, and has introduced new energy vehicle development plans, forming a complete support policy system such as technology, industry, and fiscal and taxation, which provides a solid guarantee for the development and growth of the new energy vehicle industry. The second is a relatively complete industrial support system. my country has all -industry supporting capabilities such as new energy vehicles and key components, production equipment, and basic materials. It has formed certain advantages in terms of industrial scale, collaborative efficiency, and supporting costs, which provides effective support for enterprises to carry out technology research and development and product development. Third, it has a large -scale market advantage. my country is the world's largest automotive market and the largest new energy vehicle market. At present, my country's automotive market is showing consumption upgrade. Young consumer groups have high acceptance of new technologies and new products, and new energy vehicle markets still have great growth potential.

Meng Wei said that in the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission will conscientiously implement the development plan of the new energy vehicle industry and continue to promote the high -quality development of the new energy vehicle industry. The first is to further study and improve the new energy vehicle policy system in conjunction with relevant departments, and create a policy environment for the development of new energy vehicles. The second is to adhere to the optimization of the new energy vehicle industry layout of the "one game of the country", in accordance with the principles of regional agglomeration and subject concentration, build a reasonable and effective industrial pattern of layout, orderly development, and operating efficiently.
