GAC Group announced two important proposals on August 25. First, they agreed to set up independent battery companies to carry out independent battery industrialization construction. The total investment of the project was 10.9 billion yuan. And GAC Commerce holds 51%, 40%, and 9%, respectively. At the same time, it also passed the "Proposal on the Construction of Battery Production Bases of Jiwan Technical Research", and agreed to the construction of a battery production base project in Guangzhou Juwan Technical Research Co., Ltd. Investment of 3.69 billion yuan.

The first core product of the independent battery company is the lithium iron phosphate battery cell, which is at the leading level of the industry in terms of volume utilization and volume energy density. The use of this battery product can greatly improve the safety of the whole package, while reducing the number of battery packs and components, and significantly reduced costs.

According to the plan, the independent battery company will start construction at the end of this year. By 2025, the 26.8GWH mass production line will be completed, which can cover the market demand for pure electricity and hybrid models. In the early stage, it was based on the company's enterprises in the GAC Group, which steadily increased the battery market share. In the future, it will actively expand the external market and carry out market -oriented operations.

The Jiwan Technical Research Battery Production Base Project will build new battery production workshops, PACK workshops, R & D test centers, trial workshops, battery safety laboratories, etc., and produces the cells covering XFC (Extreme Fast Charging) of the battery cell , Module and PACK system and other products.

The implementation of two important projects on battery industrialization reflects the high attention and rich reserves of GAC Group's independent production in new energy batteries.

As early as 2021, GAC Group launched the three original battery technology of sponge silicon negative electrode battery technology, super fast charging technology, and magazine battery system safety technology, which solved the three major pain points of battery life, charging, and safety for users. This year, a new generation of ultra -iron lithium battery technology based on microcrystalline technology was released again, which effectively solved the lithium battery technology problem of "balanced performance" and provided a new direction for the solution of power batteries.

In addition, GAC Group has now established an advanced, close -to -production battery laboratory and battery test production line, and set up a battery -related R & D technology team.
