In fact, "Super Moon" is a more common astronomical phenomenon that always appears several times a year. Strictly speaking, the statement of "Super Moon" is not rigorous. In astronomy, the accurate title should be "near the moon."

Because the moon rotates around the earth with an oval orbit, the distance between the moon and the earth is always changing. The average distance between the earth and the moon is about 384,000 kilometers, and the nearly place (the closest point of the lunar rotation orbit around the earth) is less than 360,000 kilometers. 10,000 kilometers. Therefore, the moon when it is near the nearly place usually looks larger visually.

When the moon is near the nearly place, and the ball of the moon is just full of the moon, the moon looks the largest visually, so it is called "Super Moon". Theoretically, it looks 14%larger than the full moon when it happens in the distance, and it becomes about 30%brighter. Although there are 12-13 full moon each year, we can see only 2-4 times of the super moon.

So the most critical question comes -what conditions do you need to meet such a beautiful moon?

Generally speaking, the best observation period of the super moon is when it rises from the horizon. At this time, the moon looks the biggest and most round, and the color is the most beautiful. If the weather is clear, the air is transparent, and the effect is better.

If you observe it with the naked eye, you can choose to stand in a relatively high and open area.
