In 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued the first domestic departmental regulations for personal information protection, "Regulations for the Protection of Personal Information for Telecom and Internet User" (hereinafter referred to as "Regulations"), last year, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology drafted the "Interim Provisions on the Protection of Personal Information Protection of Mobile Internet Applications". At present, the "Regulations" issued in 2013 are revised to strengthen the management of the key responsibility of the application, further improve the protection of personal information protection system.

Han Xia said that with the rapid development of the Internet, various online applications and services have become increasingly abundant, and personal information protection has become the focus of the people's attention. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology attaches great importance to the protection of personal information, thoroughly implement the "Personal Information Protection Law", comprehensively applies legal specifications, administrative supervision, technical support, and social co -governance. The protection of personal information has been effectively strengthened.

Following the prominent problems of strengthening personal information protection in the telecommunications and Internet industry, Han Xia said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology continuously organized the special rectification of apps to infringe on user equity, and accumulated a total of nearly 3,000 APPs of violations of laws and regulations. The subsequent supervision of "full process, full -chain, and full subject" will also be carried out to achieve the full coverage of key links such as various terminals, app stores, software development tool SDK and the full coverage of the APP, and protect user rights in all aspects. At the same time, it uses science and technology to organize the construction of the national APP technology testing platform, and complete the test of 3.22 million APPs. In the next step, it will build a public service platform for the detection and certification for mobile Internet programs, and strive to improve automated testing, big data analysis, monitoring and early warning, certification signatures and public service capabilities to provide more powerful support for industry governance.

In terms of co -governance, Han Xia said that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and relevant departments strengthened the coordination to play the active role of all sectors of society, and formed a co -governance pattern of government supervision, corporate self -discipline, social supervision, and user participation.
