Chang'e -5 has a new merit! There is a high content of water in the moon soil mineral that brings back to the earth

Remote sensing detection finds that the moon tables are generally waters (OH/H2O). Due to the lack of direct evidence of sample analysis, the causes and distribution of moon watch water have always been controversial.

According to CCTV reports, the research team of the Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences conducted research on the moon soil samples brought back by our Chang'e 5. It was found that there were a large number of sun winds in the surface of the minerals through infrared spectrum and nano ion probe analysis. The water content contributed to Chang'e 5 of the proton injecting is at least 170 ppm.

Combined with the analysis of the transmitted electron microscope and the energy spectrum, this reveals the formation and preservation of the formation of solar wind cause water, which is mainly affected by the exposure time, crystal structure and ingredients of minerals. The study confirmed that the moon surface mineral is an important "repository" of water, which provides an important reference for the distribution of water in the middle latitude area of the moon table.

This achievement was published in the international academic journal "Natural Communications", and the article number 5336 (2022).

Abstract:

The formation and distribution of moon surface water is still unclear. Here, we show the olives, oblique stones, and pyroxyl particles of Chang'e -5 samples, which are prominently attributed to the water (OH / H2O) implanted in the solar wind. The results of spectrals and micro -structural analysis show that the water implanted in solar wind is affected by the exposure time, crystal structure and mineral composition. We estimate that at least 170 ppm in the moon soil in Chang'e 5 has a water content of at least 170 ppm, which is consistent with the water content reported by the Moon Mineral Science Drawing and the Chang'e -5 lander. Through the comparison with remote sensing data and the analysis of the maturity of the moon soil, the water of Chang'e 5 provides a reference for the distribution of water distribution of the surface layer of the moon in the middle of the moon. Our conclusion is that the minerals in the lunar soil are important reservoirs, and the formation and retention of water from the solar wind occur on the gas -free celestial bodies.

According to reports, the Chang'e 5 (CE5) mission was retrieved by 1.731 kg of monthly meter material from the PROCELLARUM basin (43.06 ° north latitude). Essence The radiation test of the use of lead (PB-PB) isotope such as isotope shows that the age of this lunar sample is 2030 ± 4 million years, which is much younger than the lunar sample collected by Apollo and the moon task.

Moon soil contains water from three sources: the water inside the moon, solar wind, comet and meteor body. Considering that such samples are exposed to the surface of the moon, the moon particles are expected to record the information injected by the solar wind, forming solar wind cause water, and it is expected to provide a reference for the preservation and distribution of the moon surface water.
