As a street shooter, I like to go out to take pictures at night. For me, when the sun falls down and the night comes, the city begins to show its true self. The lights light up the city. People are no longer so busy and pedestrians are reduced. It becomes easier.

The cities at night are two different forms of the day. Take pictures at night, which is naturally different from the key points during the day. Unlike the shutter that is casual during the day, due to the lack of light, it is necessary to have some skill in taking pictures at night to take pictures at night. The lack of darkness is easier to highlight some points. If the human movement and expression of the day are the focus of shooting, and at night, light and shadow are the protagonists. Through light and shadow, emotions are magnified and showed better.

In fact, it is necessary to need some skills, and there is nothing difficult. It is nothing more than the skillful use of your camera. In what environment, you know that your camera can exert his own advantages and take the photos you want. The rest, about exposure is some simple foundation.

No matter what type of shooting, 90%lies in the perception of the picture, 9%lies in the speed and angle of the screen, and 1%is about camera settings. But before entering the shooting, we must first set these 1%to allow us to enter the finding of the picture more at ease, and we will not care about what kind of settings we need to use before each shooting. The first is the shooting mode. I usually use the shutter at night to shoot at night, because anyway, no matter how much light is in the case, the camera will actively use the maximum aperture, and the rest of the shortcomings is supplemented with sensitivity. For street photography, speed is the first important. If the aperture is prioritized, it may take the initiative to choose a low speed shutter due to insufficient exposure, which will be very unfavorable to capture the dynamic picture. It will cause unavoidable jitter because of the low speed shutter.

However, most of the time I use the manual lens, so that in this way, in the shutter priority mode, just like the GR TAV mode, fix the aperture and shutter, and only use the sensitivity to compensate the exposure.

The high sensitivity of different cameras is different. Fortunately, the high sense of the camera will be excellent enough. A high -sensing upper limit is set in the range you can accept.

Although the current camera metering is very intelligent, sometimes the intelligence is too much. Maybe we only need to capture the area under the light, but the metering of the camera will bring the entire screen exposure. Compensation is high, so that unnecessary noise is available. To solve this problem, I usually use exposure compensation. If you want to shoot in a dark place, it is best to set the exposure compensation to negative value, such as -0.7 or -1 to ensure that the camera will not be wrong. It is difficult to have a second chance in street photography.

Even though the light at night is very weak, it does not mean that we must always shoot F/1.4. In most cases, in order to ensure the depth of the scene, we all need to reduce the aperture appropriately.

For the shutter, the use of the general picture is used to ensure that it is above the safety shutter. If you want to shoot people, you must use a high -speed shutter, at least 1/125s or faster to freeze the action.

When shooting the street at night, the most important thing is to understand the light source and find the light source of the background. In fact, it is not just the night, but the daytime is the same, but most people will ignore this during the day. Too affecting shooting, at most it affects the effect, and at night, it will directly affect the shooting.

What is good light? For the picture, it may be able to express the contrast, from shallow to deep gradient, this contrast between light and dark usually affects the entire composition. In order to avoid excessive dazzling shadows, soft light will be easier to shoot. Therefore, we can find a strong orientation light source. The light on the streets covered by the light source will be more soft. The window with bright lights is very suitable. If we want to shoot strong contrasts, we can find the subject that is illuminated by the directional light source. The light source will form a sharp outline on them, and it will also have a significant effect on the light and dark distribution.

Like daytime, the streets that come and go may be difficult to find the focus of shooting. The picture is easily disturbed by the pedestrians that suddenly walk through, and the background of the picture will be messy. We can get quiet and find some quiet taverns to find pictures to shoot. At the same time, in order to attract customers, there will be some very beautiful, very distinctive lights, and these will also add a lot to our pictures.

Don't ignore the night of the rainy day. The rainwater accumulated on the road is an excellent assistance to enhance urban lights and colors. The wet ground can not only reflect the color of the surrounding lights, so that those signboards, logos and even street lights can form beautiful look in it. In the reflection, the pudding can also be used as a mirror as the main body. The pudding will also bring a variety of different reactions and actions to the passing pedestrians. Even simple umbrellas will be better in the cities at night in the picture.
