Tea is one of the largest drinks in the world. Earlier studies have shown that among the people with the most green tea, there is a connection between drinking tea and lower risk of death. In contrast, the results of the research on drinking black tea are more common.

In the UK, drinking black tea is common. Researchers at the National Institute of Health in the UK conducted a study using the data of the British biological library to evaluate the relationship between tea drinking and mortality of the whole cause and specific causes. They also evaluated the use of common tea partners (milk and sugar), the temperature of tea, and whether the genetic variation that affects people's caffeine metabolic speed is different.

The British biological library includes data from 500,000 men and women between the ages of 40 and 69. Researchers completed a baseline questionnaire from 2006 to 2010. Among these people, 85%of people report often drinking tea, 89%of them report to drink black tea. Compared with people who do not drink tea, the risk of death reporting two or more cups of tea is reduced by 9%-13%. At the same time, consider other factors, such as whether the participants also drink coffee, add milk or sugar to the tea, the temperature of the tea they like, or genetic mutations related to caffeine metabolism, have observed this association.

Researchers believe that their discovery shows that even if the intake of tea is high, it can become part of a healthy diet.
