In this context, the research team of Nanjing University has prepared a new type of radiation refrigeration material.

The basic principle of radiation refrigeration technology is to regulate the optical properties of the material to achieve efficient refrigeration of all -weather. Generally, radiation refrigeration materials have two optical characteristics: "high solar light reflectance and high -school infrared band emission".

During the work, high sunlight reflectances can make the material absorb the energy generated by solar light as little as possible and inhibit their temperature rise. At the same time, the higher medium -infrared emission rate can make the material's energy continuously transmitted through the atmospheric transmission window, and finally achieve its own cooling. Under the common effect of these two mechanisms, radiation refrigeration technology can achieve efficient cooling of objects on objects, and the maximum temperature can reach above 10 ° C.
